Second Season — Tragic Start!!

Published on

The Second Season Begins With Some Potentially Tragic News.

Before I tell you about expectations and transfers their has been some disastrous developments at my little club.

As I was looking at players making bids and moving towards the window re-opening the club then informed me that because our stadium does not meet the league standard we must redevelop it. The cost was nearly £5 million pounds! :(

Basically all the finance at the club has gone, we are currently £4.89 million in debt and to makes things worse, my transfer budget has been reduced to £0 and my maximum wage has been capped at £180 pounds a week…..

So I had to sell players, I had no choice. Plus we will have to play our home games in another stadium until the 9th of May 2011. Now I face a real struggle to keep my good playes, as I feel I may not be able to reject offers for them.

A look at the improvements now….

This has almost ruined my plans to hopefully finish top six, I was hoping to buy first team squad members. Now I cant afford it. So next up is player transfers in and out as we try to raise money to clear the debt.

Transfers Out

As you can see we raised £2 million pounds, but not enough yet to get more wages, I did manage to keep my first team together but we have been reduced to a squad of 16 players. Two youth players have been promoted to deal with an injury crisis but am worried about the upcoming season.

Had to let both Absolo and Sergio Francisco go for finacial reasons nothing more. Also Adam Smith was a really promising talent, but I couldnt afford to pay his wages.

The debt has been reduced to nearly £3.5 million but I fear we could be indebt for a while.

Players In

Only two players, both signed before the developments and probably the only two new faces will will get this year!

First up, Lucian Sanmartean.

Really good midfield player who can hopefully create alot of chances for my side, physically not so good hopefully he can add a little quality to the team.

Jan Rajnoch

Welcome this flexable player, who can play at centre back, defensive midfield or central midfield. Am really pleased with this player, will play at the back with Chalwe he brings alot of quality. Heading, jumping, tackling and marking shows he can be a real leader at this club. Probably the best player at the club.

So our little club has some tough times ahead, we have been predicted to finish mid table the media claiming that we should get 14th place. However after the bad news about the stadium I am not sure what target to set for myself!

No home ground, no money and no wages. But we have a good squad kept together from last year, and great team spirit this season could be anyone’s guess!

Hope you keep following to find out just what happens! :)
