Season expectations and first transfers.

Published on

Obviously as a newly promoted side I would’nt be able to manage much else than just survival!! However no transfer money means I must sell some players. A good wage budget gives me £16k to recruit new players with, a tough season ahead.

Promotion odds are not good for my team, we are predicted 50-1 however I have set my sights on trying to keep us up. I believe this is possible, Sociedad my parent club are amongst the favourites to go up.

Union Transfers

My formation will be a 4-1-3-2 formation with two wide attackers. My defence is poor so this will give the best chance to out score my opponents! I still needed better defenders and good midfielders. I managed to let 4 players leave to raise more money.

None are special but we did manage to raise £110k pounds almost doubling our bank balance! :) However the fans were displeased with losing Larrainzar, but he was a really poor player so tough!!

Players In

As stated a few new faces have joined us.

I will now take you through the players bought and the reasons behind the deal. Notice all free transfers, I get the feeling this my go on for a while at this club!

Walter Gaitan

Experienced attacking midfield player, who has already spent a year in this league with Villarreal. Obviously bought to start he brings good quality and is both footed.

Ivan Udarevic

Croatian defender who will take one of my non-EU squad numbers (Only allowed two Non-EU players registered). Again bought to start at centre back.

Thiago Xavier

Brazilian midfield man, who will take the second non-eu number. Players born in South America only require 730 days to gain citizenship in Spain, while others (Non South American) require 3650. Well rounded but low passing could be a hinderence.

Marco Paulo Rebelo — Lopes

Giant Angolan striker who should dominate in the air for my team. Experienced and offers something different to the smaller forwards at the club. Half Portugese means he does not require a non eu number.

And at last but no means least I present you too :

Sashi Chalwe

The second central defender I have bought and is the better of the two. Captain of his country he we lead our defence for the upcoming season. For some reason he does not require a non-eu number despite coming from Zambia (I know why now!) but will be a leader for the season.

So thats the new boys! As always their were a few I couldnt get due to only being allowed to offer low wages but all in all I am very happy with the signings.
