Sears — FM11 Terek, My New Home 14/15

Published on

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my FM11 story. Well, it’s sad to announce that I’ve parted company from my beloved Queens Park and found a new home in Russia, more about that later. Most of you will be disappointed that I’ve left Queens Park as we were about to embark on a historic journey in the SPL and Europa League.  I decided to leave because I feel I’ve bought the club as far as I could have bought it. It would have taken years and years to break Rangers and Celtic’s dominance and since we were just an amateur club, it would have taken even longer. Therefore I decided to resign and immediately began searching for a new job as I didn’t want to start a new game.

When I began looking for a new job, only a few clubs manager’s were under pressure, particularly in Russia. I declared interest in every job and most said they’d consider appointing me but that was all.  A few job’s came available that interested me, a club in Holland and France were looking for a new manager, along with Tottenham. However all three clubs rejected me :-/ I didn’t give up and I was finally offered a job… in Russia! Yup, a team in the 1st Division called Terek approached me and I accepted without hesitation.

They gave me a generous budget as well, £11.5 million! The wage budget wasn’t to shabby either. I’ll surly be able to bring in some talented players.  For those who don’t know the club, here’s a short background:

Last season, Terek were relegated from the Russian Premier Division. This season Terek were predicated to finish first in the Russian First Division, but unfortunately for the previous manager the club were underachieving and found themselves in 5th spot, 7 points off the top of the table.

Their results thus far are promising, certainly much better than what I anticipated. Were also still in the Russian Cup, but that could be short lived as were playing Rubin in the next round.

I was also rather surprised with our team report, we sure do have quality but most defiantly lack quantity. I’m not sure if we’ll be adapting a 4-4-2, I might. It’s really between that or a 4-5-1, but I won’t be using the downloaded tactic I had with Queens Park. I want to try create my own tactic this time!

Here’s a look at our squad, we only have 16 players and two of those aren’t registered so it’s obvious that we need to strengthen heavily during the next transfer window..

That’s just a short summary of my new club and the situation thus far. Regarding our facilities, Terek’s new stadiums holds 30,000 people. It was built in 2011. Our youth facilities are classified as average and so are our training facilities. Well that’s it for this post, I’ll be back in a few days with my transfer news plus opening fixtures. Thanks for reading and feel free to comment!
