Sears — FM11 Queens Park Oct + Nov results: some wonderful performances 10/11

Published on

Hey guys, welcome back to my Queens Park story. I havn’t posted in a while because I’ve hardly played FM in the past week or so. However after missing school today due to illness, I powered through the next two months of my Queens Park career. As you know following our perfect September month we moved to the top of the table, a position I was optimistic of holding onto. There won’t be to much writing in this post, instead I’ll add more visual content like showing all my fixture highlights and pictures of our stats etc. Let’s see how we faired during October and November.

Oct + Nov results:

You may notice we played in some exciting games and scored quite a number of goals. However I did change my tactic following the defeat to Annan. Our new contributor Dave supplied the link to the tactic he uses and bearing in mind I’m a huge fan of central formations, this was nothing to consider. My new tactic:

Queens Park 2 East Stirlingshire 0

Our first game of October was against East Stirlingshire. They warn’t having a great season, they were around the bottom of the table thus I expected a win. Said scored after just a minute and Rezgane wrapped up all three points with a minute left to go.

Queens Park 3 Clyde 2

What happens when the best attacking team and the best defensive team play? Goals galore. Both teams played well, but we edged it and deserved to win. McWalter, Pinault and Rezgane scored our goals.

Clyde 0 Queens Park 1

We played Clyde again in the Scottish Cup 2nd round. A single goal from Said won us this game and we progressed to the 3rd round just as the board expected to do so.

Queens Park 1 Annan 2

We suffered our first defeat in a while to Annan as they overwhelmed us 2-1 at home. We just never got going in this game and deserved to lose.

Arbroath 2 Queens Park 2

I changed to my new central tactic for the first time before this fixture. Things didn’t get off to a good start when we went 1-0 behind after just two minutes. However our attacking treat paid off as we raced into a 2-1 but Arbroath recovered well and the game finished 2-2. Rezgane and Said scored our goals.

Berwick 0 Queens Park 4

Berwick regained 1st place after our draw to Arbroath. I stayed loyal to my new tactic and it worked wonders as we hammered our title rivals 4-0 away. This sent out a strong message to the other title contenders and I was elated with my teams performance. We created loads of chances thus the scoreline could have been larger.

Queens Park 7 Stranraer 0

Our biggest win of the season as we put 7 goals past a poorly organized Stranraer.

Montrose 1 Queens Park 3

We faced Montrose in a tricky away tie and won 3-1. Murphy scored an incredible free kick!

Scottish Cup 3rd round — East Stirlinshire 1 Queens Park 1

A late goal from McBeth saw us clinch a replay which we defiantly deserved. 17 shots on goal and 4 clear cut chances? How we didn’t win I don’t know…

League table:

We are no 5 points clear at the top, but more importantly were 11 points clear of 5th spot which is fantastic.  We’ve scored amazing 42 goals in just 14 games and conceded 16. I want to push on and win more games to extend our lead at the top.

Players stats:

These are just the stats of those who have actually played this season. They are more players who havn’t and will be leaving. I’ve signed some more players but they can’t be registered until January. Most are from France as I sent my scout there to sniff the place out. Rezgane has been immense this season, so has Said. This striker is by far my best attacking treat and is essential to my team. David Lee has been superb as well. My mid fielders have been hot an cold, tbh I expect more of them. Hopefully the new tactic can bring out the best in them!

That’s it for today’s post folks, thanks for reading.
