Published on

Hello and welcome back, as promised here is the end part of the 2013 season. England is up against Uruguay and Andorra, both at home at the wonderful Wembley stadium.

The list below is what I need to win and what I have already won so far;

The Copa America

The Oceania Nations Cup

The Caribbean Championships*

The Gold Cup

The World Cup

The Confederations Cup – 2013 England

The Olympics*

The African Nations

The Asian Cup

The European Championships – 2012 England

The Four Associations Tournament

As you can see there is two cups with a * on the end, they are in place because they aren’t a cup I have to win to complete it. If I get the chance I shall go for it but I will not be searching for the job.

It’s time to pick my squad, the squad can consist of 26 players but 3 of them have to be goalkeepers which leave me with 23 outfield players. So I divide the 23 by 3 (Defenders, Midfielder and Strikers) which leaves me with 7.6 but let’s say 7. So I pick 7 defenders 7 midfielders and 7 strikers. So this is my squad;

Goalkeepers –

Joe Hart – 32 Caps – Manchester City

David Stockdale – 5 Caps – Fulham

Alex Smithies – Debut – Leicester City

Total Caps – 37 Caps

Micah Richards – 34 Caps – Villarreal

Martin Kelly – 10 Caps – Liverpool

Ashley Cole – 114 Caps – Chelsea

Connor Wickham – 4 Caps – Chelsea

Total Caps — 197 Caps

Total Caps combined (Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfielders and Strikers) – 755 Caps

Prior to the match against are number one keeper Joe Hart has picked up a little injury, He has got a bruised head and has left him out for 5-7 days with injury, Gary Lewin looked and said it’s worth keeping watch on Hart’s fitness and a replacement shall not be called up.

“Crosby announces England Squad”

England manager Jon Crosby has just named his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Andorra.

In either of these games you could see two new debut for young keeper Alex Smithies and explosive winger Alex Chamberlain.

Crosby has also decided to recall a number of regular faces to the crowd such as Kieran Gibbs, Andy Carroll, Connor Wickham and Victor Moses.

England have a tough game in this friendly, we managed to beat them once 3-2 but it was a tight encounter and now without Joe Hart it could be even more of a struggle for the boys tonight but I’m sure they will be able to pull it through.

Here is my starting eleven to face Uruguay;

According to “BBC Radio 5 live”

“England has enough about themselves to see of the threat of Uruguay.”

Match report –

England 2 – 0 Uruguay (Friendly)

An efficient performance from England’s players saw them confidently overcome a lacklustre Uruguay 2-0 at Wembley.

Experienced Striker Jermain Defoe gave England the lead with a real poacher’s effort in the 16th minute. An error from Uruguay’s Martin Caceres allowed Defoe to score a deftly executed finish.

Today’s attendance was 66,576 which is even below par even for a friendly match; it did leave 23.424 seats left which was a shame.

Here is the highlights from the game between England and Uruguay;

Our last game of 2013 saw us up against Andorra, a team who are 201 places behind England in the World rankings, I can predict big scores here tonight I’m going for a 5-0 win, let’s see if my boys can back up the managers prediction.

Here is my squad to face Andorra;

According to “TEAMtalk.com”

“I’m surprised the bookies are even taking bets on this one. Andorra can’t get a win for love nor money at the moment and England should have this game won by half- time.”

Pre- Match – I expect a win

33rd Minute GOAL Wayne Rooney (2) England

Match report –

England 6 – 0 Andorra (Friendly)

Fans sang the praises of their heroes at Wembley tonight a England ran out 6-0 winners over Andorra in their latest friendly fixture. The game will be remembered for a remarkable display of goal scoring from England’s Wayne Rooney.

Striker Joan Carles Toscano showed a sign of things to come though as he nearly gifted England a goal on 6 minutes. Striker Connor Wickham gave England the lead with an effort from the edge of the area in the 22nd minute.

Striker Wayne Rooney doubled England’s lead with an accurate finish on 26 minutes. Rooney added his 2nd goal of the game with a powerful effort on 33 minutes.

Rooney added his 3rd goal of the game with a well struck effort on 60 minutes. Rooney added his 4th goal of the game with a powerful effort on 70 minutes.

There were no prizes for guessing who completed the rout on 77 minutes as that man Rooney popped up again with a fierce shot.

Tonight’s attendance was 57,827 which is 32,173 short of a full house tonight at Wembley, It only being a friendly I expect more fans than this.

Here is the highlights for the match between England and Andorra;

Wayne Rooney has now been capped 100 times for England and scoring 58 goals for his country, that’s staggering here, is his player profile;

Something I’ve been waiting for and I am sure you have been to the World Cup Group’s and who has drawn who well here it is;

Portugal, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia a fairly easy group which I hope England will be able to top!

Well that’s the end of 2013 and the end of my update. I would really like constructive feedback so I can work on anything that you think needs work on it will help me a lot.
