Football Manager 2012 Youth and Newgens Improvements

Published on

Hello lads, we have some fresh information about Football Manager 2012, I know you’re curious to find out all about any of the new features. Miles Jacobson revealed some improvements that will be available for the youth squads and newgens, let’s see what it’s about.

The biggest improvement is that you will have more control over the youth players that come into your squad, you will no longer find yourself with a bunch of youngsters parachuted into your team at the beginning of the season. What will happen is that those players will be presented to you a few months before the end of the season, you will receive reports on them from your staff and you will also be able to test them in a game against your current youth team to see what they are capable of before signing a youth contract or not. Those of you who won’t want to get into such details can leave the entire thing up to the assistant manager.

Moreover, now you can ask the board to give up on the whole youth system at the club in order to save money! I know you would say that you wouldn’t like to do that but I’d think again. For instance, my youth set up at Vauxhall has never produced any decent players so I guess I would have been better off without it.

About the newgens, the guys at Sports Interactive decided to go into even more detail when it comes to generating new players. For instance, the newgens from Brazil will most likely have flair while the youngsters from Spain will probably be perfect for a short passing game.

These are the most important new details about Football Manager 2012 in my view but there is more to find out from Miles’ blog, please check it out by clicking here.

If you don’t know by now, I can’t imagine that you don’t, Football Manager 2012 will be released on October 21st and you can already pre-order your copy by clicking on the image below.
