FM 2015 Wonderkids To Watch — Jordon Ibe

Published on

Jordon Ibe

Club: Liverpool

Position: AMR/AML

Age: 18

Nationality: English

The kids a bit like: Raheem Sterling

Last years game saw SI award Jordon Ibe a ‘-8’ flexible potential, which isn’t enough to become world class. Football Manager 2015 should be different however, I fully expect Ibe to start the game with a ‘-9’ potential rating, Liverpool’s hot prospect has shown a lot more this year and even in pre-season looks very, very exciting. This potential FM 2015 wonderkid is a winger and features at AMR, but he can also cut inside from the left. He has blistering speed, great agility, flair and knows how to take on his man. One thing Sterling has been accused of lacking is that killer pass and final product, but what I have seen in pre-season indicates Ibe possess’ a decent passing range and is very calm under pressure producing the final product.

Ibe signed for Liverpool back in 2012 from Wycombe, he recently spent time on loan with Birmingham in the Championship. But it was performances in the Premier League U21’s and on duty with England U19’s that really showcased his talent. After Rogers gambled on Sterling’s talent a few years back, the big question is whether he will do the same with Ibe or go for the safer option, another loan deal. Below are highlights of Ibe’s first two pre-season performances that seem to have everyone talking.

Jordon Ibe’s stats

On loan with Birmingham 13/14: Appearances: 11 / Goals: 1 / Assists: 1

Liverpool U21 Premier League 13/14: Appearances: 5 / Goals: 2 / Assists: 5

England U19: Appearances: 6 / Goals: 4

What should we expect from this FM 2015 wonderkid? To summarize I’m expecting a worst case potential of ‘-9’, blistering speed, agility, end product in the form of decent crossing and finishing with fantastic dribbling and flair. To be honest Ibe could be a near clone of Sterling.
