This FM 2015 player profile of Alessio Romagnoli shows a talented central defender capable of making it at the very top. During my test save, Romagnoli developed insane defensive ability, with 17 and above in tackling, marking, heading, positioning and strength, not to mention 16 in the other key areas. This kid has no weakness, he can pass, jump, run and is reliable. I think he’s the complete defender and perfect for any team at any level.

Good all round ability saw him made first team regular with Sampdoria, not too shabby for the first season. In the end United coughed up £37.5 million and didn’t regret it as Romagnoli repaid Red Devil’s with a fine debut season. Capable playing any role and not limited to a style or tempo Romagnoli is simply one of those players you don’t need to think twice about.
