In my test save Mascarell became a solid deep lying playmaker, his great ability was underlined with 18 decisions, 18 passing, 18 creativity and 17 technique. The midfielder can also control a ball well and anticipate the game, All the makings of a good deep lying playmaker, especially his general passing range and ability. Sure that flexible potential won’t knock your socks off but if he can reach the standard above and costs just £2.5 million he’s worth the shortlist in my opinion, maybe for mid-table teams but still worth a mention.
