This FM 2014 player profile of Daniele Rugani shows one of the best cheap central defenders in FM14. At just short of £1 million he’s a snatch. The screenshots were provided by Bjork who signed Rugani for Inter and raised the Italian into a rock solid centre back. He’s strong, great defensively, reasonably quick and brilliant mentally, an all round stopper.
For just £2 million you could have a consistent performer at any level and remember he’s only 23 in the images above, well short of a defenders peak age so I’d expect more growth yet.
