This FM 2013 Player Profile of Matej Vydra may come as a minor surprise. Most of us will know Vydra from his eye catching performances in the Championship with Mile’s favorite club Watford, but few would have expected a profile on here. The main reason for such a report is down to development and performances.

Vydra has grown in my save with incredible physical stats, decent technical ability in the vital areas (which can definitely be improved upon) and promising mental stats in those areas needed for any poacher. But what really caught my eye is that Arsenal were prepared to spend just shy of £20 million and Liverpool a further £18.5 million. Not to mention the wonderkids form at Anfield of 48 goals over two seasons. Sure Vydra is too expensive for his ability, but he’s certainly worth a mention and keeping an eye on should the asking price drop.
