Dan: Welcome to Glasgow!

Published on

Hi there!

I’m new to the site and thought that I would just do a quick post explaining who I am and why I’m here. Previously I was writing on FM Crowd and upon my asking Johnny and Darren have kindly agreed to allow me to write on their site, so thanks to them. Now before I reveal who I explain which team I will be and why I’ve chosen them I’d just like to tell you a bit about myself.

My names Dan (as the title suggests) :) and I’m a college student from a town called Wallsend in Newcastle. I’m a massive NUFC supporter and have previously managed them for 3 seasons in FM11 achieving little to no success. If I had to pick one word to describe my stories it would be ‘realistic’, by that I mean I don’t tend to take over a league 2 team and within 5 seasons win the Champions League. It tends to be a long and arduous journey with many mouses and keyboards lost along the way. However I’m hoping this story will move along a little faster since I’ve chosen to manage:

This is a club with a proud history, they hold the world record for domestic titles and if I’m not mistaken have won something around the region of 113 trophies all together, which is amazing despite the quality of their league. Their stadium isn’t half back either…

The Ibrox is a fortress in real life and hopefully I’ll be able to keep it that way as well as collecting all the domestic silverware I possibly can. The real challenge comes in Europe and Rangers need to win some kind of European competition to establish themselves as a force once more, whether it be the Euro Cup or the Champions League.

So I guess that will be my overall goal with Rangers. I want to win a European cup which will be difficult considering the club has the finances of an npower Championship team.

Hopefully this little introduction has wet your appetite for a bit of a Scottish adventure!

Thanks for reading!
