Bury FC: Start Of Season 9 (August ~ October)

Published on

Yo! Hi guys and girls, welcome back to my Bury story. After splashing 41m on transfers, we were hoping for a good start and a good foundation for us to build on and retain our Premier League crown. Arsenal were amazing last season, and this season it seems Man City will also be strong candidates, they spent 37m on a striker. And they have Pastore!

The striker they bought:

WOW! What a striker, the perfect poacher. It’s interesting that I would have signed this guy 4 seasons ago for 8m if he had recieved a work permit! Grrr!

Premier League Start

Excellent start! A 100% start! Just what I needed, just what the club needed. I have to say, if we dropped points in any of these matches apart from the City match, then I would have been very dissapointed. As you can see Fiorentino is the star striker! Araujo has just gone downhill since his first season. And this season he didn’t start any better, only scoring 1 goal, therefore I promoted Fiorentino is the starting 11, replacing him and it has worked like a charm!

Bury 2-1 Man City

Brilliant comeback by my team!

League Table

Ha! Look at Arsenal! It looks good for us! 5 points clear, and we’re on course!

Champions League

The group isn’t as hard as last years, however we do have to face the winner, Atletico Madrid, who beat us…

So a good start and lets look at the overall performance of the players:

Unsuprisingly, Fabio Fiorentino is at the top of that list with 10 goals in 8 starts. He joined us from AC Milan in the summer for a low fee of 5m, bargain I say, and if you campare his technical attributes with the new City striker, then he is a proper steel! Next follows my defence, you need a solid a defence to win games, and that what we have at the moment. All of them are different nationalities (RB = Bosnia, CB = Romanian & Brazilian, LB = Holland) Despite that, they seem to have a good understanding and are all below the age of 23! Jack Wilshere hasn’t had many starts as he missed majority of the campaign so far through injury.

Fabio Fiorentino

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post. I know I did whilst typing! ;-)

Thanks for reading!

PS: I’ll include the Caring Cup report in my next post, we have only played 1 match so far which was won, son no point showing it. eh? :)
