Bury FC: End of season 14/15

Published on

Hi everyone, welcome back to my end of season update. We last left off with Bury having a great chance to achieve a Champions League place, but with the run in we had, it wasn’t going to be easy with Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Liverpool to play in our last few games.

Final Results

Not the greatest start to this period as 2 vital points were dropped against relegation candidates Norwich. It didn’t get better as we slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea. We then beat Middlesbrough 5-2 but goals were still conceded. We then failed in the next 2 games as we lost to the big boys. 2 more vital points were dropped again Villa and our Europa League place was looking threatened. We then got back to winning ways with two priceless wins against West Brom and Arsenal, whom fielded a weakened team as they had nothing to play for.

But, the question is, did we get what we wanted? European Football next season?

Yes we did! Chelsea and Tottenham didn’t capitilize on our poor results and therefore we just about managed to to qualify!

Great Victory vs Arsenal!

Bury given 12m

Bury break goals record!

Now, some achievements I need to show you:

Adebayor was Premier Leagues top scorer and broke the record of Andrew Coles 34 league goals :D

Adebayor won English footballer of the year! A great achievement! :D

Petr Lastuvka broke Bury’s assist record in just half a season!

PLAYER RATING

Well, no suprise Adebayor is at the top of that list! Petr Lasuvka is one of my favourite players at the club. The Czech is simply amazing! Nicklas Pedersen scored 5 more goals than last year. Ronaldo, well you know why i wanted to keep him so much now.

Next season, we definatly need a new GK, a new CB (maybe), new LB,  maybe a new striker as a long term solution.

Well folks, thats it, Bury will be player European football next season :D

Take Care!
