Basingstoke: February — End of season 2010

Published on

Alright, I have some catching up to do. I haven’t played that much lately but thankfully I had already done some skipping ahead in the game before hand. So here’s a somewhat short summary to the final months of the first season with my Basingstoke.

The league at the end of January

February

A very short month with two wins and one draw. I felt contempt with that. Lee also had a good month bagging 3 goals but other than that no-one really stood out.

March

2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. It could’ve been better but the Lewes game was a good victory seeing as they were in a good run for the top spots. Vasilev is in good form again scoring 3 times.

April

2 wins and 3 draws. Not a very solid end to the season but not a bad one neither, Chelmsford didn’t have the best of endings to their season so I actually ended up winning the league with some margin for slip ups.

Alright, so we are taking the step to go into the Blue Square Premier. There will be some changes in the squad but nothing overly dramatic i believe.

The loan players have left so this is the main squad ratings, with Chris Rodd at the top with Laidler and Sandy Hodge behind. Vasilev and Fitchett, two of the loanees did a fantastic job at helping the club, as did Bignall but he was only at the club for 3 months.

Tune in for the preperations for the premier in the next update, fellow managers and readers.
