Arsenal: September And October

Published on

Hi everyone, welcome back to my Arsenal story as I go through September and October. Sorry for waiting a long time for this post.

SEPTEMBER RESULTS

As you can see, we won every game in September! The best game of that month definately was the 3 nil win away at Anfield. In this game we were missing Edin Dzeko who was away on International Duty, Robin Van Persie through injury and Gael Clichy through injury. So it was a good result considering our first team problems etc.

Simon Vuckevic put in a man of the match performance, he really seems to be a brilliant signing! Just look at his attributes rising massively after a month at the club:

The next game we played Chelsea which i regard as a good earned point. Cesc Fabregas recieved a straight red card in the first minute! Chelsea bombarded us but we came through it, unlike the real life Arsenal who let in a 95th minute goal vs Sunderland (grr). Manuel Almunia was outstanding with some excellent saves but the defence also deserves a mention especially Cristian Zapata who was dominant in the air.

Another great victory was the Wolfsburg one where we won 3-0 and Edin Dzeko scored against his former club! Carlos Vela scored another goal from the substitute bench.

 THE LEAGUE TABLE:

So at the end of September we were sitting top of the league with a one point gap over Man City. August’s leaders Chelsea slipped to 11th and 6 points behind us.

At the end of the month, Manuel Almunia, Cristian Zapata, Simon Vuckevic all deserved to be mentioned for their good performances but the one that outstood most was Edin Dzeko!:

OCTOBER RESULTS

October wasn’t as good as September, we dropped points vs Everton (AT HOME!!!) (grr) and in the North London Derby against Tottenham, we put in a poor performance vs Tottenham but still manage to get a point. Edin Dzeko continued his good goalscoring form by scoring 4 goals in 4 apps. I’m satisfied with his contribution so far. Lets hope it continues.

The best goal of the month was a scorcher from Edin Dzeko vs Wolves:

On October the 21st, i came into my office and got a nice message on my desk from the media:

AN INTRESTING FACT: We have only conceded 2 goals in the premier league in 11 games! Yikes!

At the end of the month the league table looked like:

The points dropped against Everton and Spurs meant Man City topped the table but only by one point. It is quiet close though at the moment.

Squad Review

Unsuprisingly, new signings Edin Dzeko and Simon Vuckevic have the best average rating.

Review:

— Edin Dzeko is the perfect striker for a 4-3-3 formation. He has brilliant heading, finishing and strength. He has slotted into the team perfectly.

— Simon Vuckevic, I’m glad to have bought this guy for 8m instead of paying 25m for Ozil. He is the perfect partner for Fabregas.

FUTURE TRANSFER PLANS

I plan to sell Tomas Rosicky, Eduardo, Denilson and Traore in the winter transfer window or the summer transfer window. They don’t have a place in the team and i might as well cash in on them now.

Anyway, thats it, sorry again for taking sooo long to post this post. Take care.
