Ana — FM 2011 : Veracruz, Season 19

Hi everyone!!

Hope you are all well, am in a really good mood so I thought I would post another update in my story!

Last time I left you we were trying to wrap our heads around the confusing Mexican league set up, but hopefully things are a little clearer as I post another full season at Veracruz. I wont post my C.V this time as nothing has changed as I failed to win anything last season so without further ado, lets begin!

Oh and before I forget I am having some major problems trying to load my Coruxo game, am not giving it up yet but apparently it could be broken.

I will just post this story for now but things are not looking good.

First Transfer Window Of The Season

I had a mini clear out selling off players that I didnt want and bringing players that I do. My idea is to nuture young talented players into first teamers and then hopefully sell them on for a high profit.

Every player bought was under the age of 22 a risky play but one that I think will payoff. I will now post the better players I bought :

Luis Prado

Juan Cervantes

Rafael Perez

So was fairly pleased with these players Prado is an attacking midfield player but I want to play in the centre of my midfield, Cervantes is a very promising centre back with already alot going for him and Perez is a winger and will play on the right hand side for my team.

The Head Of Mexico!

Just been accepted to manage the Mexican national side! It was a surprise but I agreed and am looking forward to the challenge am not sure how long I will stay, probably until I get bored which is fairly quick in international management!

But we will see if I can achieve anything, here are my three best players :

Jose Luis Mondragon

Bob Schulte

Hugo Romero

LoL! How good is my strikeforce! Schulte is already an amazing player a few weeks after I took his picture he moved to Manchester City for £47 million! Romero isnt too bad either, and will partner Schulte in my Mexican side.

Mondragon is a midfield player who can play as a defender as well, another fantastic player so am really pleased with my team.

Results Opening Stage

I didnt post the league as the group tells you that we qualified for the playoff stage and are in with a chance to win the opening stage, we found a little more consistancy and started to turn some draws into wins.

God I hate playoffs, I wish they are banned. Again away goals dont count but seeing as Atlas finished higher than us in the league they progress and we can sit and get annoyed at this stupid setup and playoff games!

Results Closing Stage

Yay! More playoffs! We once again qualified this time for a chance to win the closing stage but we did have a mini blip where we lost three games in a row but three staight wins got us back on track!

What a surprise, Ana  lost another playoff game! Have I told you how much I hate them! We did get a stage further and into the playoff semi final but Atlas again beat us and I am annoyed!

But am determined to succeed here, even if I lose a hundred playoff games (which is achievable for me) I have to. The law of averages is on my side so hopefully its just a matter of time!!

Final Player Ratings Of The Season

Evandro was my star man in both scoring and creating and my new Cameroon man Aitchedji was amazing at the back.  Was fairly pleased with most of the players but will lose some due to three or four handing in transfer requests.

But all in all was happy with the season and I feel we are progressing, granted slowly but progression is progression!

Mexico is a very annoying league, people have said it to me and I see why! Throw into the mix my happless record in playoff games and we have a recipe for disaster, but I will not give in!

I have come too far in my journey to let Mexico beat me, so it may take a few years but I will get there. No domestic cups so I can get through a season very quick, just have to find time to write them up the next post should be very soon so until then wish we luck and goodbye!

P.S. I hate the playoffs!! Am tempted to start a petition for them to be banned forever!! :)
