Hello dear friends, the World Cup round of 16 is over now and eight teams made it through to the quarter finals. Uruguay, Ghana, Germany, Argentina, Holland, Brazil, Paraguay and Spain will battle it out for a place in the semi finals and a shot at the golden trophy. Our contest table is pretty tight at the moment as we are approaching the end of the tournament, there are quite a few contenders that have a good chance of claiming our prize, a copy of Football Manager 2011!

Lye is still leading the table but his advantage has narrowed down significantly as Markjulian and the others had pretty good days in the first knockout round. There are eight more games to be played at the World Cup, the four quarter finals, two semi finals and also the two finals, the big one and the one for the third place. That means that there are 48 more points on the table and, at least in theory, 19th placed Zam and all those above him in the table still have a chance to finish top.
