I welcome you back! The next post is already upon you. This will only cover the signings I’ve made so just sit back, relax and study/comment my pieces of business.
First we’ll start with the Budget the board gave me
24,5 M £ was an okay budget to work with even though I’m expecting to lay out a big chunk on a offensive player and a fullback.
Here’s the players I chose to let go.
Only 3 players being sold as I was quite happy with most of my players and my squad wasn’t all that big anyway. Guarin and Milevskyi was also able to bring in some extra transfer funds.
As I said I had my eyes on Hazard and Lukaku. Eden Hazard was willing to move on from Lille seeing as they aren’t winning any trophies and when a started bidding for him 3 other clubs joined in. I Believe that they where Napoli, Man City and Bayern and bids started to be acepted just above 18 M £. I got mine accepted and when I got the chance to give a contract i topped it off with a bit more than he required and set him to Key player as I would be facin some very stiff competition to sign him, I also stated that I was in awe of his qualities.
Here are the players who joined.
Eden Hazard chose Caen and I couldn’t be happier that I got my man. Also seeing the old Toulouse duo Gignac and M’Bengue join was equally as pleasing.
Eden Hazard
Technically superior to all my players and a bit different from the rest of my attacking force will make him an interesting choice on the left flank. Pedro Leon will most likely be the player who will have to find his playing time when ever he can. But I’ll be playing a lot of games and I’m sure that there’ll be no problem.
Kyrylo Petrov
Those of you who remember my time with Millwall might recognize this player. He’s not as good as I remembered him but he was free and will be a back-up player for the midfield positions, both DMC and the MC position. I also have a fondness for Ukrainian players since I’ve already tried out 3 and 2 of them are doing really well at the back.
Ignacio Camacho
The spaniard was for some reason not wanted at Atletico Madrid anymore and I was happy with his developments, so much that I saw no problem in signing him right away. He’s technical enough to cover all of the central midfield roles but I’m thinking that he’ll be best for the assisting MC. (Assisting MC is the player helping out the Playmaker in midfield, creating space for him and helping out the anchor man with winning back the ball.)
Andre-Pierre Gignac
Gignac is a very likeable player. He’s very hardworking and sacrifices himself for the benefit of the team. However he is also a prolific goalscorer and he has enough pace about him to take advantage of counter attacks. I’m looking for him to cement the ST place now that Figueroa is getting older. Milevskyis departure almost paid for this transfer which makes me very pleased with the whole affair.
Yaya Sanogo
A young french striker that plays his trade with Inter. Will make a good third choice striker as he has the important attributes of aerial ability and good finishing abilities. He’s also fast enough. On loan with no future fee being set.
Cheik M’Bengué
An excellent fullback, and although I’m using a wingback on the lefthand side I’m confident that he’ll do well in the offensive areas too. It’s hard to find really good fullbacks and I was primarily looking for a right back and had Camilo Züniga as my first option but Frankfurt wouldn’t let him go for around 11 M £ so I went with my second choice seeing as Kolodzieczak can cover the rightback position now and fill in for Eggert Jonsson.
So that’s the signings for the summer, and here’s a look at the team for next season.
I’d also like to share the MVP’s for the played season.
1#MVP — Sambou Yatabaré
2#MVP — James Rodriguez
3#MVP — Sergiy Kryvtsov
They have all developed into great players and will be the backbone for our team for many years to come.
I’ve played the friendlies but as I’m not playing them myself I find it rather uninteresting to show you the results. I will however show you the upcoming games for August.
