Season Finished Are We Champions?

The final part of my second season as we push for promotion and possibly our first ever Liga Adelante trophy. A long season depends on the final six games, so get ready! :)

Last six games first to add to the tension! As you can see prettty mixed but we did have a 5 point lead so was it enough to hold of the challenge from Malaga??

The home game against Alcorcon was or promotion confirming game! We did it with great style, Neemelo scored twice with Lopes and Richard sealing our first ever trip to the big time!!

But did we go up as champions the answer is…….

A sad dissapointing no!

Malaga hit great form and were unbeaten in the final 11 games winning all of them. We were so poor away at Las Palmas that it made it hard to take.

But then again we are in the big league! With all the drama this season, finance and very thin squad to win promotion is fantastic. My little club playing the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid sounds good! :D

Hopefully a big clean out in the summer and I will try to sign some better players to help our survival bid, no doubt a hard season ahead.

Real Union Player Stats

Jhoel Herreara leads the way this season, and was voted fans player of the year also. I have also decided to give him the captains armband for this coming season, with Chalwe as the vice.

He has shown himself to be a real leader for the club, Neemelo has been fantastic since we signed him and Velasco continues to show promise. Mora and Rajnoch also deserve a mention for their contributions this season.

So for the first time in Real Union history we are in La Liga but we need new players in order to have any chance, however this is where we want to be!

Can we survive or will we be a soft touch and return straight back?
