Real Union — 28 Games Into 2023

Hello everyone,

Am sorry for not posting just have been really busy. Also the area I live in (Cumbria) has been through a horrible time after a gunman shot dead 12 people and wounded 25 others.

I am sure you have heard news on it, where the shooting began was just 15-20 minutes from where I live. My family and boyfriend (and his family) are thankfully ok but a tragic event that has happened.

May the innoncent rest in peace.

So in light of all that I will bring the update on my story. Its hard a time for everyone but we must move on in the wake of this horrific incendent.

La Liga Table And Results

So we really struggled for goals and that continued for a number of games during January. My tactics and setup havnt change just my team failing to take chances.

After beating Barcelona at home we refound our touch a little putting 5 past Sociedad but a very dissapointing draw followed a thumping 6-1 win over Mallorca.

David thankfully has refound his golden touch scoring 6 times in three games following a long goal drought, a rarity for our usually prolific front man.

So the league is alot closer but we still lead by 7 points from Real Madrid. The goals havnt flowed like they used too and my strikers a looking a little tired.

But we have defended really well so I will take that as a posotive! Only 15 goals against and we are on track to once again win la liga.

The Champions League

The Udinese game was a really, well stupid game to be honest!! We were brilliant after going 2-0 after 30 minutes and creating so many chances.

We could have won by 5-6 instead they pull a goal back in 89 minutes then grab an equaliser in 95! They hardly created a thing but at least we got the away goals. Again they were lucky to get the goals in the second leg but we meet Arsenal in the next round.

They beat us in the final so I would like some revenge and hopefully continue my progress to winning it!

The Spanish Cup

Well put out by Real Madrid in another crazy game. Again we conceeded twice in 90+ minutes , despite having 10 men behind the ball. We were also 2-0 after 6 minutes at home so I just put those games into the crazy catergory.

Wasnt too dissapointed to go out as we can focus on other things now.

Player Ratings

So Castaignos and David continue to shine. Vandinho has also been a fantastic signing and with his height and power is a handfull for all defenders.

Aizpurua has been plagued by injury and Lowe is having a poor season by his standard.

Mazza has been fantastic at the back and is the defensive leader we need.

So that is that,

Its my birthday tomorrow (24!) and the world cup starts on Friday so it should be a fantastic few weeks. Hopefully we will see a great competition and I wish you luck to which ever side you are supporting!

I will be supporting Spain, but this shooting has really thrown how precious life is so please treasure yours.
