The FM 2017 player profile of Thiago Maia shows a rock-solid young defensive midfielder, with potential to develop into a leader and a very strong presence in front of your defensive line. Santos don’t want to let him go at the start of the game, they require 13 million but I guess they might let him go for less later on.

In my test save he was bought by Barcelona and they developed him into a first-team regular at Camp Nou. His attributes developed nicely all-around, from a strong physical presence to fine passing and technique. He is also good when it comes to marking his man, while his mental attributes became simply fantastic overall. You might want to buy this lad as soon as possible, otherwise the big clubs might beat you to his signature.
