This kid could become a world class goalkeeper even though he had his share of bad luck so far in his career. Two years ago, when he was just 16 years old, he was set to complete a move to Manchester United but the transfer fell through as he had to undergo ankle surgery. He is the son of former Norway international keeper Einar Rossbach and was recommended to Sir Alex Ferguson by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
In 2013 he had to sit on the bench for most of the season but when he got the chance to prove himself in the Norwegian top flight he took it with both hands. The club were in a terrible streak, having won just 1 game in 7 matches. Rossbach took over from the injured Andre Hansen for the rest of the season and Odds won 4 and lost just 1 in their last 7 games.
He has played for all the various national youth teams, establishing himself as the first-choice goalie in the Under 21 team at just 17 years of age.
The video below features a language I don’t understand but you can see some great saves in there:
Sondre Rossbach’s stats
Odds BK: Appearances: 7 / Goals: 0
Norway U21: Appearances: 5
Norway U19: Appearances: 3
Norway U17: Appearances: 5
Norway U16: Appearances: 8
What should we expect from this FM 2015 wonderkid? I think he will have good potential, the scouts surely have him on their radar. It’s too early to say whether he will become a major star or not but I think he has a good chance to develop into a top level goalie.
