To my knowledge Schuurman was not included in the most recent addition of FM, but he will surely feature this year and most likely as one of the potential FM 2015 wonderkids. Due to his age and lack of exposure I wouldn’t be surprised to see with limited visibility, maybe just those loading Holland will have access but I hope that isn’t the case. From what I have heard and seen this kid is one to look out for. While Schuurman hasn’t had chance to impress at club level, he’s lit up the International youth scene with brilliant outings for the Netherlands U17 side. Most notably in the recent Euro’s where he finished joint top scorer with 4 goals and 3 assists.
Jari Schurrman is a central midfielder best described as a box to box midfielder. Like Frank Lampard he has an eye for goal and a knack of popping up in the right place at the right time. Jari follows in the footsteps of some very exciting youth to have recently left the Varkenoord Academy and I don’t think it will be long before Feyenoord promote him to the first team.
What should we expect from this FM 2015 wonderkid? Probably best used as a box to box midfielder I’d expect Schuurman to have some randomly distributed attributes which happens to very young wonderkids we don’t know a lot about. These types of players also get assigned flexible potential, I think the researchers could be torn between awarding a ‘-8’ which is reasonable and a ‘-9’ which would make Schuurman potentially world class. The most impressive attributes should be in his shooting ability and alongside the expected like passing and off the ball movement.
