Nathaniel Chalobah has always been regarded as one of England’s biggest talents, but it wasn’t until last season that he turned that promise into performances. This potential FM 2014 wonderkid is very versatile, he can sit in front of the defense, linking up play, or be deployed as a good old fashioned centre back.
Chalobah is a one man club, he’s been with Chelsea from pre-teens and worked his way through the academy. Last season saw Nathaniel’s name in Championship lights as he surprised with Watford, even scoring some corkers along the way, one of which you can watch below. Such performances have led to Watford wanting a repeat deal for the 2013/14 season, but they’ll have to face off stiff competition from Wigan.
Here’s some of Chalobah’s more rounded skills, defensively and in linking defence to attack during a MOM performance against Brighton.
What should we expect from this FM 2014 wonderkid? I think he’ll be most comfortable sat just in front of the back four as an anchor man or deep lying playmaker. Very well rounded attributes will be his biggest strength, reflecting this kids great versatility. If I had to choose some key attributes, long shots and tackling would be up there with work rate.
