So, you have got good FM 2013 players, cheap or free, or maybe some exciting wonderkids already, but in order to achieve success in FM 2013 you will need a strong coaching staff. Today I will show you how to maximise the effect of training through the abilities of your coaches.
So, you have got good FM 2013 players, cheap or free, or maybe some exciting wonderkids already, but in order to achieve success in FM 2013 you will need a strong coaching staff. Today I will show you how to maximise the effect of training through the abilities of your coaches. FM 2013 training is simpler than what we were used to from the previous version but you will still need good coaches, nothing has changed there.
My recommendation is to have at least 9 coaches: two fitness coaches, two goalkeeping coaches and 5 general coaches. That is because I prefer assigning a coach to a single training category, the one he is best at.
Here are the attributes that make the difference between the weak coaches and the good FM 2013 coaches:
Common attributes for all training categories
determination
level of discipline
motivating
These three attributes should all be the highest possible, try setting the filters to 10 each when searching for coaches and then gradually increase if you get too many interested coaches.
Now the specific attributes for each training category:
Fitness training
Strength — fitness
Aerobic — fitness
General training
Tactics — tactical
Ball control — technical (primary attribute) + mental
Defending — defending (primary) + tactical
Attacking — attacking (primary) + tactical
Shooting — technical (primary) + attacking
Goalkeeping training
Shot stopping — goalkeepers
Handling — goalkeepers
As you can notice these have not changed from FM 2012, so if you have already learned the trade you will surely assemble a good coaching team in FM 2013. After getting all the coaches you need there still remains something to be done: assigning the coaches to the respective categories.
Go to Training > Coaches and assign each of the coaches to a specific category, according to their abilities, as shown in the screen shot below.
