Coruxo FM 11 : Start Of Season 3 Update

Published on

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my Coroxo story and this update will deal with all the going-ons at my club during the pre season including all the new transfers I have so lets begin.

————

Things didnt start to well as the local council blocked plans for a new stadium! Am not sure where the chairman was getting the money from…. Hopefully a secret stash he has hidden away!

However we were forced into a stadium expansion to comply with the league rules at the cost of £6.5 million pounds, now we are in debt! Also we must play are away games in a different stadium for up to 10 months whilst the work is carried out, so not an ideal start to life in our new league.

Ha! Clubs will be afraid of our spending power! Some good news in the fact that we managed to restructure the massive debt with the chairman taking out a personal loan of £10 million. We have to pay him back at a cost of £70k per month for a good while! But at least now we have +£3 million in the bank! :)

My first task was to sign a new assistant manager, as my former opted to leave the club not wanting a new contract so I found this former player who most Liverpool fans should remember!

Yes its John Aldridge! I have a piece of pretty useless information about him that I found out tonight! The last time that Real Sociedad beat Barcelona was in 1991 and this player scored twice! So yeah a really interesting thing I think! He also has knowledge of Spain so was a good choice to be my number two.

Next up transfers out :

So I had to sell a whole host of players, due to the finacial state the club was in, if I had know the chairman would have wiped the debt I would have loved to have kept at least Alberto. I sold Voavy who was on too much money and also Delcourt as I couldnt really afford to have players who needed time to develop. I raised a fair bit though in almost half a million.

I made 10 signings, which seems quite extreme but I needed to replace alot of players who had left so here they are one by one :

Mossa

So he is a full back and will replace the departed Didac, fairly ok player I guess but i struggled to find any decent fullbacks so he was the best I could get!

Markel

Was really suprised to see that Markel had been released my Sociedad so snapped him up on a free, central midfield player who brings good work rate to the side.

Inigo Perez

Another surpise, Atletico this time had released Perez, so again I acted quickly to bring him too the club. He is another central midfield player and again a good player who will be a starter for me this season.

Leornado Gonzalez

Needed a good full back for the left hand side so bought this experienced Costa Rican on a free to fill that void. Brings a bit of quality and he can tackle!

Angel

So another midfielder! Angel is another complete player who again doesnt have too many weaknesses he can also play at right back and at centre back so bring so good flexability to the club.

Kevin Berigaud

So I broke my transfer budget by paying a club record £50k! On this french striker! I guess he will be the perfect partner for the evergreen Carlos in the upcoming season! Good finisher hopefully he can score the goals for my team this season!

Jurgen Samuel

Yes I like midfielder players! So bought another to act as cover but again am really pleased with the signing, good stats no real weakness and another free transfer!

Martin Diaz

So I bought this defender who was at Barcelona Atletic and again he was a free transfer, he will be my starter alongside Bernado I think he is a pretty good defender who should do well for me this season.

My final signings were youth prospects one was a portugese midfielder called Josue and I bought a young Switz defender called Frederic Veselli again both were freebies.

So thats that! Pre-season went well so am fairly confident of survival this season, am really pleased with my squad and am hoping things can go well! So thanks for reading and dont forget to register at the forums!
