Hi everyone hope you all had a good new year! And hopefully you didnt get as drunk as I did!! :)
So I will bring the the following two months to you now in my Coruxo season where we last left off I was pushing for a surprise playoff place, so lets have a look at the results!
—————
We began against an inform Betis and despite being at home we were well beaten, Juanma and Pavone’s double gave us little chance but Berigaued did pull a goal back but in vain as Pereria made it four and a bad start to the month.
Next up was a really poor game against Recreativo where nothing really happened! No real action and the game ended 0-0 so a decent away point I guess.
We managed to improve against Cordoba in our next game and despite making four really good chances we only managed to take one and again it was my French striker Kevin Berigaud who gave us the home win.
Another fairly poor display next away at Rayo, another game in which we just didnt get going and we got another boring 0-0 draw Gonzalez got sent of in the 95th minute in the only real talking point of the game. Needless!
Our poor March run continued with another home defeat this time at home against Salamanca. Perico had opened up the scoring for the visitors but Kaka levelled from a corner. Lazarevic scored late on to deny us anything!
We finished March with an away win at Gimnastica again the game wasnt brilliant but Martin Diaz rose from a Carvalho corner to seal a much needed three points and revive our confidence abit.
April Results
Getting the job done seems to be what we are doing at the moment and away at Eibar thats exactly what happened as Inigo Perez hit a fantastic freekick on 87 minutes to give us a scrappy away three points.
Next up was yet another home defeat as we were beaten 2-1 by Malaga, Carvalho had given us the lead but two second half goals in two minutes killed the game.
We finally got our home back! The expansion was finished and we could finally enjoy life back on coast!
Despite a sell out crowd at the O Vao for our first home game in our newly expanded stadium we put in yet another poor display and you guessed it a stale 0-0 is what we had to settle for.
Then a bit of a goal fest! Our away form is amongst the best in the league and we proved we were good travelers as we beat Gimnastic thanks to a very late winner! All the goals came in the second half where Diaz opened for the home team but Kaka levelled from a corner.
Johnathon then put the home side up but Thomas Zerbini again pulled us level, then on 91 minutes the outstanding Kaka rose unmarked from a freekick and gave us a fantastic away win!
That win ended the month which was again very up and down as our goals are starting to dry up a little. However we look very strong at the back and the brilliant Kaka need to be singled out for my team!
So we are a little adrift of the playoff’s but we are still aiming to sneak in! We need some good results and a bit of luck but at the moment we are struggling to score goals. Am really happy with my season so far though!
So am not happy with three away games with two of them being our rivals for a playoff place and we also have to play Levante so a really tough end of season. Am not sure if I can make the playoffs but I will give it my best try! We need some luck but the only good thing is we are very good away from home.
And thats it! I will bring the conclusion to my season as soon as its played and again thanks for reading!
