Coruxo FM 11 : February 2013

Published on

Hi everyone! Well christmas has gone again for another year so I hope you all had a fantastic time and are looking forward to celebrating the new year! Hope 2011 will be your best year yet!

————-

So onto my story, and my team hit a good spell during January I was hoping we could continue that into February and our first game of the month saw us play against Murcia. We got off to a great strart as Luciano turned the ball into his own goal to give us the lead, Daniel Carvalho scored on his debut to double the lead and went provider as Germinale added a third.

Next up a really poor performance away at Las Palmas we never really got going and we payed as Mourad and Dyakov goals sent us away with no points.

Frustration in our next game as we payed for missed chances against Cartagena, we started really well and eventually scored on 33 minutes when Zerbini tapped in a Carlos cross. We pushed on and created some good chances then deep into the second half and with almost the last kick of the game we let our lead slip!

Goiria heading in a  corner on 93 minutes to get a share of the points.

The final game of the month saw a real goal fest as seven were scored! It was the home side Ponferradina who struck first but we reacted well to equalise with a fine header from Kevin Berigaud. Again they scored but my team pulled another back as Martin Diaz headed in to make it 2-2.

Berigaud then went provider for Carvalho to slot in our third and we added another when Angel crossed for Carlos to make it four. Crosses are a major weakness and thats exactly how we let in their third but we held firm to seal a fantastic 4-3 away win!

So a good month with two wins and a draw which should have really been three wins and a loss but at least were are playing well and am really happy with how well Carvalho has settled into my team.

So we are into 10th and thats pretty good as if you remember we have not got a home stadium due to the expansion so am very pleased with how things are going. Our survival is complete and we are now looking up to the playoff’s as we are only four points back.

So we have an English month! With six games to play and some pretty tricky games to get through. Betis is a tough game as is away at Recreativo despite their poor season. Rayo are also hunting a playoff place so that will a big game for my team.

Thats it, am really happy with how things are going at the moment and even more happy that we are pushing at the right end of the table and with some good results and a bit of luck we may just sneak a playoff place!

Thanks for reading and I wish you a very happy new year.

Ana. x
