Coruxo FM 11 — End Of Season In Full

Published on

Hi everyone!

God, its been ages since I last posted! Things in my real life are starting to settle down a little so have a little more free time to play with. I will have to abandon the monthly reports otherwise it will take me forever to get anywhere! Will go back to my Real Union style of last year of posting in two big updates.

It means a little more reading but hopefully it will be easy to get through! So lets get to the update and the end of my season.

——————————————-

January Results

So a perfect month as we picked up four straight wins and keep pace with Las Palmas. Elche were first up and the impressive Paulo Henrique scored twice then we put six past Cartagena with my two central defender grabbing two goals each!

We then beat Eibar and Henrique struck again against Alaves to seal a great four weeks for my side.

February Results

So we made a slip up early in the month losing at home to Recreativo but a N’Diaye header meant we returned to winning ways away at fourth placed Xerez. Viera capped an almost perfect debut by striking twice against Granada and Henrique added another two goals to his season total.

March Results

God! Las Palmas are a good side! I just cant seem to shake them and they just dont drop any points! We began March with a narrow win Carvalho with the goal. A  bad defeat away at Alcorcon despite being two up we threw away all the points. A narrow win over Hercules and Cordoba but points dropped against Orihuela and Badalona but we are now nine points clear of third.

April Results

At last a bit of daylight! Las Palmas struggled and we took full advantage with an unbeaten month, and a win at Las Palmas was fantastic! Kaka who has became my favourite player on this version of FM scored the crucial goal with a header from a corner.

He scored again in the win over Salamanca and Carvalho scored to give us another win over Rayo but Gimnastic held firm to deny us anything but we have opened up a four point advantage in the title race but Las Palmas do have a game in hand.

May and June Results

So May first and we mad a huge mistake losing at home against Deportivo as Las Palmas won to narrow the lead at the top.  A very nervy but crucial 1-0 win and a bad draw against Elche but a comfortable away win at Cartagena thanks to a Henrique hat-trick.

In June we managed to beat Eibar so going into the final game of the season the table looked liked this :

How Las Palmas have been doing so well I will never know! Their team is hardly brilliant but they just dont lose points and infact they regained the points lead advantage we had over them and we really didnt have that bad of a month.

However the final game of the league season would decide the title, promotion secured and an away game at Alves which is good for my side, as our away form is far better than our home form!

The Final Games Of The Season

So the season just got more and more wierd! We managed to just beat Alaves whilst Las Palmas were well beaten by Granada 4-0! I didnt expect that and was so focused on our game I didnt even check the result during the game! But we managed to seal the title and promotion and on the final day of the season too!

I didnt expect it but was very pleased with the team and how we performed, Las Palmas were really good despite having a better than average team so how they achieved that I will never know! But we are now a la liga side so will be doing my best to stave of relegation next season.

So thats it! Hopefully it wasnt too much reading and I did include a lot of pictures! So my next post should be alot quicker than this one and will cover my half of my first league season in la liga, thanks for reading and bye for now! :)
