Coruxo FM 11 : A New Season Begins

Hi everyone,

So after the dissapointment and playoff heartache of last season I am determined to re focus my team and once again push for the top places. Were given a bad piece of news early on when this came through:

I must admit I didnt even know what the chairman was planning but it seems that the council have made the final conclusion so I guess we will be stuck at the 1,500 O Vao for another season, a shame I would love a new stadium too! I was pleased with the chairman’s vision so decided to sign a new contract with the club :

So I signed and I didnt want to promise something I couldnt deliver so opted for the safe, top half finish. The wage structure is a little low but I can alter that by reducing the transfer budget as I am only looking for freebies anyway!! I also decided to make Carlos the club captain after a fantastic debut season, hopefully he can guide us to the top spot!

So I got rid of a whole load of players, most were free but I sold Patino for £8k pounds and brought in 8 new faces, which will hopefully give me more squad depth than last year. All were free so I have nothing to lose on them amd as always I will go through them one by one so lets begin with Alberto :

Alberto

Signed from Mallarca B and a talented player, will play in the left hand midfield place, he will hopefully dictate the game with his passing. Has good work rate and good team work and should create some chances for my forward players.

Abdoulaye Niang

I bought him mostly for his flexability as he can play almost anywhere! He is a defensive midfield player by choice but he can also play centre back, right back, right midfield, attacking midfield and as a striker at a push! A free transfer so cant be bad, and will probably use him at centre half.

Bernado

We had a poor defence last year and most goals came from corners or crosses so I opted to buy some tall centre backs to help deal with that. Bernado is a promising player from the Sevilla B side and will play alongside Niang at the back.

Pepe Aicart

So another midfielder player and he will play on the right of right of my formation, a very solid player with not many weaknesses should provide the energy we need. Would have loved his passing to be a few points higher but a good player in my view.

Didac

Another player who brings flexability as he can play and centre back, right and left back. I bought him to play left back he is not amazing but is far better than Jacobo my left back from last season.

Thomas Zerbini

Zerbini brings something that we lacked from last season, pace! He will play in the attacking midfield role but is more a dribbling player than a passer so hopefully he score some goals. Another decent signing I think!

Nikola Saric

So another speedy player! Played at Liverpool he can play as an attacking midfielder or as a centre forward but is very quick. He is also worth £250k pounds!! :)

Paulin Voavy

So my final signing was this striker, my theory is that late in games I bring on these quick players as the opposition defence tires and they cause problems! In lower leagues pace is usually a massive advantage so hopefully Voavy will settle quickly and score goals!

Thats it! My pre season went well and am really happy with all my players, am hoping for a good season. My aim is promotion and I believe my squad is alot better than last year, I also have some good squad depth and have some pace which I didnt have last year.

My defence also looks better so am confident going into the new season and I will bring my new update as soon as I play it! Thanks for reading!!
