Bury FC: November and December 14/15

Hi everyone, todays post will conclude the year 2014! I last left off with Bury having a good start, but it could have been better. It was also clear from the first update our defence is shaky, and we may need reinforcements. Anyway, lets see how we did in the next two months.

RESULTS

A great run of form for my team as we didn’t taste defeat in the first 7 games! This was fantastic as we faced difficult opposition in Chelsea, City and Liverpool. This run could have continued if we didn’t concede late goals to Arsenal after Ren Jun had equalised. A late goal was also conceded again Aston Villa. More evidence was shown that our defence is weak as we only managed to keep 2 clean sheets. However I feel the defence performed better in this period than the previous period. These factors could be the reason:

1) Centre Back Victor Laguardia eliminated from the first team and replaced by Christopher Mfuiy who is performing much better than last season

2) Left Back Hector Alvarez also eliminated from the first team and replaced by Jamie O’hara who can play there a bit. LB is the weakest position in my team now definately.

Now, this period was also mainly about EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR! He scored 3 hat-tricks in four games! Unbelievable! He even scored 5 goals in the game vs Norwich! Him and Pedersen have a formidable partnership. There is one thing that I would change about Adebayor, and that is making him 10 years younger as he is 30 at the moment. Adebayor was rewarded for his fine performances of 15 goals in 6 games with the player of the month award :D

WHO IS REN JUN??

In the Arsenal game, Ren Jun scored an equiliser which was later cancelled out. So who is Ren Jun exactly? He was signed for 130k last season, and there wasn’t any point showing him, but he has made some amazing improvements. So here he is! Oh yeah, he is 20yrs old.

AMAZING 4-1 VICTORY OVER MAN CITY!!

Bury FC experienced an amazing 4-1 victory over Man City away from home. We are slowly becoming local rivals to Man City, as we beat them last season also!

LEAGUE TABLE

At the start of December I recieved great news! Gigg Lane’s expansion was complete and now we can host 18000 people!

PLAYER RATINGS

No suprise with Emmanuel Adebayor leading the list. 27 goals in 23 games is simply stunning and definately unexpected. He is also the Premier League leading scoring with 26 goals, 9 infront of second place Carlos Tevez. Add to that, he is leading player with most man of the match’s of 6, and 2nd in the Average ratings column.  Fellow striker Nicklas Pedersen has almost beaten his 17 goals scored last season with 14 goals. Petr Lastuvka has really suprised me, he was given a chance in the team at the start of the period and then suffered and injury. He came back late on in the period of games. He has performed well in every match. Ronaldo is showing signs of settling in the Premier League now also. Antonio Quimbamba is the only player struggling and we are lucy Shaun Wright Phillips is continuing his excellent form from last season.

Here is Petr Lastuvka again. He is like the Jack Wilshere of our team! Really confident on the ball, clever passes around the corner! He has a big future at the club!

Some of these great performances came in the big games!
