Hi everyone, welcome to an update of my Bury story.
Anyway lets remind ourselves where we left off last time, we were undefeated and leading the table by 7 points but we didn’t get off to the best of starts in November. Check the results out:
The first game of the month saw us draw vs relegation candidates Southend, i took this as a one off and didn’t worry too much. Then we played huge rivals Stockport in an Fa Cup 1st round tie which saw us get thrashed 3-0. Our team didn’t turn up at all and the fans were angry with the result also. We then played Promotion Candidates Bradford which ended in an bore draw. No win in 3 games. I wasn’t happy.
But then we managed to win our last two games which made the month not as bad as it could have been. First we beat mid-table team Stevenage with Danny Carlton getting two goals. We then got revenge on Stockport by beating them 2-1. Andy Bishop returned from a long lay off and scored both goals in his first start. We haven’t missed him as much but he certainly made a difference in that game. We were very lucky in the game as Stockport missed a penalty! Phew!
So at the end of the month the league table looked like this:
So at the end of the month we still lead the table but the lead was cut by 1 point. Neither team beneath us took advantage of our little slip. We are still undefeated!
The Players:
Danny Carlton is the best Bury player so far this season — no suprise about that.
Anyway, thanks for reading, I hope to bring my posts quicker from now on, take care!
