Bury FC: January & February

Published on

Hello again! I am happy to bring you the update of the first two months of 2011 of my Bury FC Football Manager 2011 story.

Like the previous post I did of January 2011, I will start with the finances:

So not soo good. Damn, im starting to get worried… We got 250k in the summer which seems to have got lost. It must be my chairman/owners are greedy or something like that.

Season expectations were kept the same. I still told them that I will achieve promotion as promised in July.

January Business

Not much occured  in the January Window at Gigg Lane apart from signing youth and selling dead wood. Michael Jones & Manu departed which bought us 5.5k, and we bought one promising youngster who has already started to improve.

His name is Ryan Mason, he was at Tottenham Hotspur for the previous five seasons untill he was released. Notice his value is 425k! :/

JANUARY RESULTS

The month started excellently when Marko Maletic scored a double vs Doncaster. One of them was a screamer from long range which I will certainly be entering in Johnny’s goal of the month competition. We then lost against Charlton in the FA Cup 3rd round. Although I wanted to go far in the cup, I did manage to fullfill the board’s demand of at least reaching the 3rd round. From then on it was all about Wellington Silva! 6 goals in 5 games… Brilliant. Davide Petrucci has finally shown signs of settling in the team now…

On the social network feature of this website, you may have seen my sad post… I promised to explain in this post, so here it is….

His loan ended and I failed to extend it. Well, it would have been extended if he was granted a work permit. I don’t understand how he was granted a work permit in November but not now??? Nevertheless, that is in the past and we must move on…

Oh yeah, I must thank him for his excellent contribution. 14 goals in 15 games! And an average rating of 7.67! Best player so far I have managed in FM11…..

February Results

February was a quiet month, we only played 4 games, winning 3. My team didn’t seem they were affected with the loss of Wellington Silva. Other players seems to have took the responsilbility in Petrucci, De Ridder and Fuseini who is now our best performer.

So after 2 months of football, this is how the league table looks:

We sit first with an 8 point lead over 2nd and 12 point lead over 3rd. The future is bright, the future is bright. ;-) :-)

Average Ratings

As you can see, my creative midfielder, Ali Fuseini is the best player of Bury this season. I had my doubts over him when I bought him last season but he seems to have paid off. After him, follows my two central defenders :-D

The Ghanian doesn’t seem to have eye-catching attributes, nor has he improved massively, he just seems to play well all the time :-D

So that concludes my post, I hope you enjoyed it! Untill next time, take care! :-)
