This have been a long break for me. I’ve actually been waiting for Johnny to get back from his trip, so that I could keep up with his story and stay in the same timeline. Though moving ahead a few months can’t do that much harm.
December 2009
Started off the month with a loss but except that game it was all good in the league. Got a draw against woking in the first FA throphy game against them. The extra fixture saw the same result and it had to be decided with penalties. Many of you who have been following my earlier stories would expect a win now but sadly I had no luck at all with the shoot-out. We missed every single one…
Daniel Fitchett is continuing his good form and bangs in the goal in the league.
January 2010
4 wins and one draw equals a very good month. Newport and Chelmsford are top teams in the league and these two wins will be vital for our progress to the Blue Premier.
Vasilev claims the man of the month award with his 4 goals. Was vital in the two most important games, a real match-winner.
We snapped up 3 new players between December and January. All of them Irish and all of them on a free. Robbie Egan, A young offensive midfielder who’ll get his fair amount of playing time. I’m hoping he’ll develop into a solid starting player in the next 2 years. Chris Mason, an extra goalie won’t hurt as only Kitteridge is of good standard but he does his slip-ups now and again and it’ll be nice to have someone to rotate him with. He’s young aswell so if Kitteridge doesn’t develop than I have hopes of making Mason a better keeper. The 3rd Irish is David Lee and he’ll fit into the team right away as we’re lacking in the offensive department with only Vasilev left s solid starter. Fitchett’s loan is out and he didn’t want to return to the club. A bit odd seeing as he got a lot of playing time and did really well.
Here’s Lee
Here’s the league to finish things off for this post. Take care everyone!
