Hello eveyone! Only two more sleeps until Christmas Day so if I dont see you again until then I wish you all a very merry christmas!! Here are some Xmas kisses for you all!!
xxxxxxxxx
So back to my story! If you remember I began at Cheonan in South Korea having spent about three season their I opted to move out and relocate to Hong Kong and take over at South China Athletic Association for the immediate future. Lets have a look at their club history to date :
As you can see they are the most successful club in the Hong Kong league winning over 108 competitions! They also have a great finances, good squad and the highest attendance in the league! So I will now show the three best talents at the club no surprise they all all foreign :
Carlos Cesar
Leandro Carrijo
Diego Martins
Carlos Cesar is an attacking fullback, Carrijo is a centre forward and Martins is a central defender I also have a few more Brazilians so will try to explain the rules. You can have 7 foreign players in your team but only three in the starting lineup, anyone not on a Hong Kong citizenship is classed as foreign that includes players from China!
I can sign players from China but it takes 2 and a half years for them to get Hong Kong citizenship and good players from Hong Kong are few and far between, seems this challenge may be tougher than I first thought.
Transfers In And Out 2013
So I removed alot of players to help drive down my wage budget for players I actually wanted, I only signed three players I decided to give the players I had a chance to prove themselves! So lets have a look at them :
Wang Xuanhong
So made an instant mistake! I assumed (wrongly) that Chinese players could play in Hong Kong and not be classed as foreign. It will take 2 and a half years for him to be able to be play without being classed as a foreign player so am already making mistakes!
Wang Bo
Yes! I made the same mistake again but this was before I got my head around the rules in Hong Kong. So essentially I have two more foreign players along with the other I signed, so not a great start to my life here. Just to clear that Wang Bo is a defensive midfield player and Xuanhong is a striker.
Younis Krouchi
A wide player and I am thinking he is my only foreign player I bought! So already my plans are down the drain and I will have to react well in the next window to free some places up! I payed £55k for this player and was also really pleased with him!
The Halfway Mark
Yes halfway! We play a massive 18 league games a season! As a you can see we are far and away the best side in the league. My biggest rival are probably Kitchee but we beat them fairly easily away despite the score being close nothing really much to add as nine wins puts us firmly in command!
The League Table
Yeah, not the hardest challenge I have ever faced, in all honesty they might aswell just give me the trophy now! Their is no way that I can lose the title with the squad I have, infact I would be surprised if we lost a game! Not being arrogant or anything just my squad is far superior to every team in this league.
Bit Off Fun!
So just for fun I posted this screenshot of the latest goal I have ever seen! This was in normal time and in the SEVENTH minute my defender headed in a corner to give us the win! Just wondered what is the latest goal you have seen? Honstley it did bring a smile to my face! :)
The Transfer Window
Ma Leilei
Unfortunatly this transfer was already arranged before I arrived. I had little say in the matter and the fact he is another foreign player doesnt help the squad I have and am having to sell off the overpaid Brazilians I have!!
Jung Sung-Keun
So was trying to think outside the box, and was hoping that the same rule that happens in Spain would happen here! In Spain you can sign players from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico etc and in three years they will obtain Spanish Citizenship!
So was hoping that it would take two and a half years for this player to get Hong Kong citizenship, and I was wrong! So another mistake and am starting to hate the rules here!!!
Final League Place And Results
Ok for some reason I have posted all my results! I dont remember why I have done that maybe to show just how easy this league is. Amazingly we were beaten not once but twice! My favourite team name of Pegasus beat us inflicting my first league defeat which was annoying! But did those defeats shake up the title race?
Of course not! We won with eleven points to spare and by the end was playing 6-7 under 19’s to hopefully promote a few to the senior side as they are from Hong Kong so not foreign! Again nothing much to say was the easiest league to win but my aim is the Asian champions league so time to try and win it!
Look at the foreign players! I will need to sell a few but I forget to take a picture of a couple of things so I am sorry for that. I did sell a few of those overpaid Brazilians and got some good money for them, I also forgot to take a picture of a Korean striker called Joon Yoon-Sung but he is easily the best striker in the league if I remeber I will post him up next time!
Next up the numerous cups I was involved in!
Cup Competions
The Senior Sheild
The Final
Not much to say should have been alot more but rubbish finishing cost us a more comfortable win!
The League Cup
The Final
Happy Valley are sort of our biggest rivals! Think of Barca vs Madrid this is what this game means! So to win was nice again we should have scored more but a win is a win!
China FA Cup
A defeat! We were well beaten too and we were punished for being very sloppy so I was denied the chance to win all the domestic cups but not a huge loss I guess!
The Asian Confederation Cup
The Final
So this is sort of the Europa league of the Asian world, and quite frankly was very easy to win. Am not sure why but we seemed to cruise every game and we even scored four times in the final. Dont ask me why but the teams seemed to be of very poor quality so that was another trophy and that win meant we had qualified for the Asian champions league!
Hopefully it will be easy as this! But not likely!
And that is that! Sorry if it seems a bit long the post but trying to condense a whole season into one post is’nt the easiest of things to do! Am pleased with how things are going my board are spending all the money we have on youth and training so thats good, and all I need to do is get rid of one or two players for the season ahead.
Thanks for reading, and once again I wish you all a merry christmas!!
