Hey everyone!
Haven’t posted on the main site for what seems like an eternity but I have been involved with all things forum related by helping Johnny develop that part of the site. Obviously we have a lot of new writing talent down there and it’s only fair for me to shout out about some of their achievements so they can get some recognition. So, I will be doing one of these short little snippets to broaden your perspective of stories on the FMS site and hopefully get you interested in supporting the writers, getting involved in the forum or maybe even creating one of your own!
Anyway lets crack on, its only been a little over a week since the game has come out but there has been a lot of recognisable stories:
DK124’s San Marino Challenge
So far he has done exceptionally well so far, sitting top of the Serie C2 and going well in the cup. Obviously this is one of the hardest challenges on the game so it will be intriguing to see how he is doing in weeks to come when he has taken over the national team and has (hopefully) progressed in the league

Davewig1980’s Football Tourism
Dave has been a member of the site for a while but is I think his first real story on the site. His challenge is set to win all the major cups and leagues in all the countries that are on FM. Quite a challenge you might agree, and it will be interesting to see how far he will go after failing to win the Finnish league on goal difference last season!

Ri916’s Beating the big five
Debut story for Ri916 and what a challenge he has undertaken, seriously I wouldn’t go anywhere near this ;)! Basically he wants to completely change the face of football by choosing 5 mediocre leagues and turn them into the best in europe, effectively knocking the big five leagues (Italy, England, France, Germany and Spain) out of the top 5 leagues. So far, he is in Greece with Olympiakos trying to make them into European Champions which is proving harder than he thought.. Hopefully he can get Greece into the top of those coefficients with some persistence!

Nielsneutron’s Welsh Challenge
Niels has been on the site for a while, supporting stories both on the main site and in the forums but he has opted to take Bala Town, relegation candidates in the Welsh Premier league and win the Champions league with them. Obviously a little friendly competition with him and Stromson as they are technically doing the same challenge so it will be interesting to see how their two paths to glory differ!

Excessive’s Youth Academy Challenge
Well I couldn’t create a forum post without mentioning my own story could I ;)? All self-promotion aside, it is turning into a great laugh for me. I chose to opt for Holland as my nation of choice because of their incredibly fortunate gathering of decent youth prospects across the country while not having that great of a league. I chose to managed Fortuna Sittard, predicted bottom of the second tier of dutch football and we are currently sitting first! It’s not all roses though, as my next update will highlight..

Now onto my story of the week, and it comes in the form of an ex-writer!
***One to watch — Story of the week ***
Crosby’s road to achievement
Well, my first story of the week and it reluctantly isn’t my own.. Only joking, but Jon Crosby has been flying through his challenge of taking Woking, a club that he holds dear to his heart and is currently working as a youth coach at, and taking them to the top of English football. His ultimate goal though is to complete all the Steam Achievements! His progress stands at 25% after taking Woking into league 2 and winning the F.A trophy after only 3 seasons!

Anyway boys and girls, I hope that you have a flick over to the forums and get involved in all things Football Manager!
Cheers,
