What is the best FM12 Wonderkid XI – You decide!

Uncategorized

written by Darren Smith

Hey guys, just a quick update on one of the Scouting Network’s new features. Over the coming weeks we want you to decide the best FM12 Wonderkid XI, how do you get involved? Well its simple, just read on.

Every 2-3 days there will be a new poll on this post and in the sites sidebar, each poll will offer you the chance to vote from at least five players for who is the best wonderkid. There will be 9 polls in total, covering 9 different positions. The players that receive the most votes will make our ‘FM12 ultimate wonderkid XI’…you will be informed of the results through a post once all the polls have finished.

So just to clarify, starting today there will be a poll in the sites sidebar and the bottom of this post, the first poll is entitled ‘Who is the best young Keeper in FM12’, you have five keepers to choose from, but vote fast as this poll will close in 2-3 days and will be replaced with a poll to decide who the best right back is…the cycle will continue until all the best wonderkids have been voted on for each position, then I’ll post the results with an image of YOUR best wonderkid XI.

When voting don’t worry about the players age, value, asking price, or club, just worry about the players current ability and potential ability. Money does not enter the equation as this is the best wonderkid XI, so cast your votes now and come back every 2-3 days for the next poll! Please also note that when voting for the best centre back and striker, you will have two votes for the same poll.

Polls closed so far

Best young Goalkeeper

Best young right back

Best young left back

Best young central defenders

Best young defensive/supporting MC

Best young attacking minded MC

Best young right winger

Best young left winger

Best young strikers

For me Ter Stegen is a must buy! I have bought on every game i´ve had since I found him, and that is two games with PSG, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Real Madrid.

Ter Stegen for sure, I think I have him on all my saves, he is awesome.

Fanza

if you play with MU from start Obviously De Gea, But if you play with other team It’s Ter Stegen for sure

Alexander Ceol
Guest

Yeah thats true Darren, and its a shame, because the computer wont let him reach his full potential.

Redle

I chose Ter Stegen because I’ve seen him become almost perfect, but De gea in my saves with man utd never let me down

Thanks for doing this Darren, should be interesting :) i missed the GK poll but i voted for Walker as RB just because im a patriotic idiot ;)

Sam Birch

Sime Vrsaljko at RB for sure, cheap and immense!!!

agreed

Vrsaljko all the way :D By far my favourite right back. All the players are great though

Alexander Ceol

Vrsaljko, he and Ter stegen are always in my clubs :p

I’m looking forwards to the LB nominees as thats such a “weak” position so to say.

Well i personally went for Romario – because he is Brazilian – a Brazilian right back is always a good right back. Also i have played with him more than Vrsaljko, who is also immense btw and so is Azpilicueta, havent had much experience with Walker.

Joeyboy
Guest

Definitely Romario, I get him on every single save I do :P Although I have only tried Vrsaljko once, with Roma, so I think I may try him again eventually as he seems to be dominating.

Joeyboy
Guest

May I also ask who the nominees were for the GK poll cause I missed it :/

Ross

GK- Ter Stegen
RB- Vrsaljko
CB- Zouma
CB- Kara
LB- Alex Sandro
CM- Veratti
CM- Kovacic
CM- Badelj
RW- Shaqiri
LW- Willian
CF- Fierro

Whens the next poll up Daz and is it for CB?

Vrsaljko is my most favorite RB, not only for his ability but also the high fitness which helps him play all season long almost without injury.

Wing back is one of the most hard working position but his energy is never drained. His progress rate is fairly high due to high team work and regular first team games.

666th voter. Go me! xD

I never seem to pick the most popular option :P

GK – Areola: Fantastic physical stats which he develops very early. His mental stats also develop rather well. Certainly one of the top keepers provided that he’s trained by a human manager.

DR – Corchia – His attacking skills are on par with his defence. He also likes to dribble, scored a few great goals for me after cutting inside and shooting from the edge of the area! Apart from that, he’s usually pretty clean, not getting many cards as a result.

only one winner for me – Alex Sandro is pure class

As a big United fan it was hard for me to go for Jack Robinson but he gets amazing later on in the game!

Benjy

I’ve gone for Rakitskyi simply for those long shots. He has never scored a single one but god that doesn’t stop him from constantly trying as well as blasting all the free kicks straight over the bar. Normally players like that drive me crazy (Aguero for example) but with Rak I find it strangely endearing

For Left back there isnt a question as i manage liverpool i know what Mr Robinson becomes and that is something you dont want to face on the left flank. He also gets a shit ton of assists for me :)

Karl Deighton

This time I went for Robinson, simply because he plays for Liverpool :D
Alex Sandro is class though

Yoga

Why Martin Montoya is not in the list of RB darren. He has a good stats and you can get him for free after playing one season.

Karl Deighton

This team is the ‘ultimate’ wonderkid team, so price is dicarded. Montoya is good but he is not as good as the likes of Romario, Vrsaljko, Corchia and Azpilicueta

Another oddball choice from me – Fabio. Never tried the Ukrainian player, but the others always lacked something. With Robinson it was dribbling when going forward, With Sandro it was adaptation (never really got going for me) and Rodriguez will never be solid in defence. I feel that Fabio is the most complete DL of the bunch.

Ross

think there might be few too many Liverpool supporters voting on this one….surely Alex Sandro is best? also surprised Jose Angel didn’t make the list in one of my saves I moved from spurs to take over as liverpool manager and signed angel, his attributes were phenominal however he never played well for me, surprisingly i had Robinson but never played him, either wasnt aware at the time of his potential of perhaps the computer had never played him before and he never progressed before i joined them. he was mostly in my reserves, but i do agree he can… Read more »

I think it’s unfair not including José Angel, from Roma, because he’s probably the best left back of FM 2012….just sayin’
;)

I feel like a traitor for voting for Robinson :( lol

Ryan Daly

No surprise that Rodriguez is bottom, as most of our readers have probably never tried to sign him because of that massive £60m price tag on his profile.
The closest poll so far, the Alex Sandro supporters were catching up but it looks like Robinson has got it.

Damion

I got Rodriguez for a bargain 8 million in my second season with Ipswich I can vouch for this guy he is a beast although the 60 million asking price to begin with is ridiculous

Ryan Houng

Why isn’t Gareth Bale in the list?

James Parry

Phil Jones because he’s one of my fav players and zouma because he turns to the best cb in the world!

darren dont get me wrong this is not moaning just observation u know i appreciate u r work and opinion but as i ussually take low/middle ranked clubs i think sakho is waay overrated for the things he do on the pitch and he never grow up to expectations, the others ???? u really bothered training them??great job i never did just didnt thought they were worth it,BUT:papadoupulos BIG YES and prestia is a true GEM!!!!he developes sooo good its tremendous, and just 2 questions:why not put toloi on list hes waay better than at least 4 of those 7 on list… Read more »

Zouma was an easy chice, IMO he becomes the best CB in the world. The second choice was harder but I decided to opt for Papadopoulos.
Looks like this poll will be much closer than the others

Heresy

Kurt Zouma – because he has amazing attributes. Was going back and forth between him and Prestia but in the end, Zouma won :)

Nkoulou – I’m surprised there aren’t many votes for him. He’s a rock solid CB and can also be deployed as DM (and with great success). Sticks like glue to the one he’s marking, very rarely makes any mistakes.

jude

If you take away the price tag, i believe Courtois becomes the best goalkeeper. Bought him for 12m with Derby nd with a poor defence he kept 14 clean sheets – legend.

Yippy

Sorry to be picky but isn’t it Giuseppe Prestia, as opposed to Raphael Prestia?

Andreas

I have tyed all of thise centerbacks exept from N´Kolou. Kara is good for a team like Tottenham the first season and he is exeptionally cheap, but with my Tottenham i win premier league every season, and the he´s just not good enough for me. Both Jones and Papadoupolus is worldclass when you start the game but their price is way too much, but in the third or fourth season you can get Jones for about 20£ million. for me I needed an good and young center, too fill up for Michael Dawson side by side with Benedicht Höwedes, and… Read more »

its gotta be sakho and papadoupolos whenever ive used them they have been amazing even from the start they are both quality and in my opinion turn out to be the best CB partnership in the game

I’m missing Sandro in the DMC vote. My favourite player in that position by far!

Karl Deighton

M’vila for me, he’s one of my favourite central midfielders

dzunglv
Guest

M villa i choose from the candidates but frankly, Phil Jones and Andrea Poli are my first team CMs now (Sunderland). If there were third choice for me, it is Fellaini from Everton (not sure he is young enough for the vote). Just my opinion, Darren :)

Heresy
Guest

I can’t decide who to vote for. For a defensive midfielder there’s no doubt M’Vila is the favourite. But I’d also like to pick Badelj for his creativity and passing.. Missing Aaron Ramsey here but perhaps (and I sure hope that) he makes it onto the attacking midfielder list

Hlf
Guest

Hmm, apparently I voted for Jali though I meant to vote for M’Vila, I don’t think he needed the help though!

Reece

Zouma all the way!

John

Who won “Best young left back”?

Rob
Guest

I went for Kovacic as he is cheap and easy to get and becomes an immens playmaker, I can see why others have gone for Kroos but he is way too expensive for my liking.

cobham

I went for Gylfi, his longshots and free kick ability is out of this world.

Yoga

I think this position will be very difficult to choose because there are so many great players in this position, even marco verratti is great player in this position (sadly, he’s not good enough to be in your list darren). But, i go with sigurdsson, he has great free kick, good passer and can score more than 20 goals in one season.

Karl Deighton

This one was a difficult decision for me, Sigursson is great, Ganso is a technical God but I decided to go for Thiago, I just think he immense. This one has been the most difficult so far

Josef
Guest

Eriksen all the way he is just an assist god and capable of scoring the odd goal.I dont know why so many people have voted for ganso because, my experience with him has been torrid playing more than 30 games and returning with 1 goal and 2 assists with an average rating of 6.1

Heresy

I’ve only ever tried 5 of these players and it took me a while to decide between them :P Thiago – played him for only 2 seasons. Can;t say a bad word about him. There just wasn’t any fireworks happening. Aaron Ramsey – he’s usually pretty quiet but I just love watching him deal up the balls behind the attackers. Sadly, he’s more of a supporting than an attacking player.. Sigurdsson – gotta adore those long shots and set pieces! Unfortunately, that’s about all he has to offer. I like my AMC to also have quite good pace, creativity and… Read more »

Gotta go with Sigurdsson on this one. This guy is an absolute beast in every game I’ve seen with him. Many times scoring and assisting over 20 goals (each respectively).

If I had another choice it would probably be Wilshere but Sigurdsson is definitely the winner for me.

I don’t know why Ganso is winning, he never did well any time I saw him :(
