Stephan El Shaarawy scouting report from Steve Rowley of Arsenal

Stephan El Shaarawy profile aged 27 in 2020

Stephan El Shaarawy career history until 2020

This FM 2013 player profile of Stephan El Shaarawy shows a very promising youngster, available for a reasonable fee. In this future screenshot from 2020 El Shaarawy, or “The Pharaoh”, as he is called by Milan fans, because of his Egyptian roots and great ability, has developed into a world class player. In this save he spent the two first seasons mostly on the bench in Milano, but then had some good seasons with Milan before Real Madrid decided to throw £34m after him. You can understand them after looking at those amazing attributes. If you compare El Shaarawy with the likes of Sterling and Vadillo, I would personally rate “The Pharaoh” the highest. Just a shame Milan want £29.5 million at the start of a fresh game, but that fee will drop over time…nonetheless, we have to rate players on value for money so….

Best buy rating: 8/10

shawaary seems to be superb, but could he develop more under humamn manageent ? and why 9.5 and not 10 since is asking price is relativly low

  • comment avatar Bjork Lange December 24, 2012

It is hard to say if he could be better than this with human management, maybe a little bit, but I think this is very close to his full potential. Maybe he could have been a 10, but I like to save it for world class players, which can be bought for a very low price.

  • comment avatar rui December 24, 2012

ok =) but still nice player =) continue the good work and nice christmas =)

  • comment avatar Regan89 December 24, 2012

Looks very good but bit odd he hasn’t got too many international caps.

  • comment avatar Bjork Lange December 24, 2012

Yes, it is a bit odd, but I guess it is because Italy has played with a MR, which is a position where Shaarawy isn’t that good.

  • comment avatar Wilson December 25, 2012

I Used Martin Skrtel For 1 To 1 Exchange With Him Or Either Mattia De Sciglio . Worth It . Got Rid Of High Wages And Old Player , Get A Low Wage , Young And Talented Player

    Zaha anyone??

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 29, 2012

Not improved enough in any of my saves I’m afraid.

  • comment avatar Cameron Moulton December 29, 2012

Darren do you know what is with Zaha I mean I started a save looking to buy him and he looks pretty awful for a player so highly rated IRL. Could you explain what’s with him this year

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 29, 2012

I really can’t explain it, but I am still holding that attention from human development could see him progress.

    • comment avatar Kane May 30, 2013

He’s been superb with me in my united save; 32 games, 30 goals, 6 assists

  • comment avatar Bjork Lange December 30, 2012

I guees SI just dosn’t rate Zaha any good, because his attributes are so bad. Speed and dribbling are good, but the rest is terrible and he never seems to develop in any of my saves too. The best I have seen his finishing and composure is like 11/10, which just don’t cut it for a front man. With horrible crossing and passing, he isn’t even suited as a winger. Quite a shame, as he does seem to be better than that IRL.

    • comment avatar Ratmann July 20, 2013

Zaha seems to have outstanding hidden attributes. Because in my United save after 2 seasons of play he managed to get 28 goals and 37 assists. Won PL best young player and best player, goal of the season, managed cl best 11. And he is valued at Ł26m.

You may want to take a look at Alessio Romagnoli, should have 4,5 – 5 star potential and he is playing for Roma, along with Matteo Adamo

  • comment avatar El Guaje January 4, 2013

I will recommend El shaarawy. An absolute beast in field. Feed him with a great MC and you will see how he saves the team.

  • comment avatar Gavin January 5, 2013

Why his finishing is so crap given he’s currently leading top scorer IRL?? Also I think IRL he’s playing as striker but he’s competent at striker, which is weird?

  • comment avatar KristianJ January 14, 2013

Love the concept! Have you checked out Xherdan Shaqiri? Looks amazing in the start of the game and not to expensive, but does he improve? Thanks!

  • comment avatar visitor January 16, 2013

Can someone explain to me what is human management ??

  • comment avatar Bjørk Lange January 16, 2013

Gavin: I can’t answer that, because I don’t decide player attributes.
KristianJ: Thank you. Shaqiri is good at the start of the game, he does improve further and can become a world class winger/inside forward.

Human management is when you manage the players in your team, their training, development etc., as opposed to when the CPU manages a team and its players.

  • comment avatar Zlat February 23, 2013

Well, I started a new game, and I was napoli. When I wanted to do a straight swap with Vargas, who milan are interested in, (and who is worth 7m) milan asked for 34 MILLION. (this is in dollars).

No matter the counter offer, 32 million was the lowest they would go.

i’am a milanisti and i like stephan el shaarawy he is good footballer

  • comment avatar Gulema March 20, 2013

Isco is about the same price but has a higher rating. Is Isco better than El Sharaawy from what you have found (I know they play in different positions)?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 20, 2013

TBH they are too different players in many aspects, you can’t compare them. But for me personally Isco is very hard to beat in general, he’s one of the best players this year hands down.

  • comment avatar KW13 March 22, 2013

I agree with Darren that ISCO is better however ISCO can only be played in the centre of the park as mentioned (have tried ISCO on the wing without too much sucess probably due to the lack of pace and general tactical instructions).

However El Shaarawy is more suited to the wings. Furthermore in the above screenshot he was trained as a winger by the looks of the development – iam sure the attributes can be dispersed in different areas (finishing for example)

Also think that he is a tad underrated in regards to current ability IMO – he has been immense this season IRL.

  • comment avatar Grogglefuzz April 15, 2013

I bought Shaarawy on my Liverpool save in january 2013. He wanted to leave Milan due to lack of play time. I paid £19m

  • comment avatar kenny July 21, 2013

I would just like to say el shaarwary is much better then that future pick with with human management. Ive managed milan for two seasons and gave el shaawary first team football from the start he is now 21 in my season and he already has stats that r similar to the future screenshot he has better pace and same flair dribbling and off the ball in the future screenshot. So im pretty sure when he is 27 on my save he will be alot better then this screenshot tbh. This cpu management pic does not do him justice

        • comment avatar Darren Smith September 9, 2013

That is an insane amount of assists.
