fm 2014 timo werner career stats

This FM 2014 player profile of Timo Werner shows a very talented young striker, just 17 years old and available for just 4 million pounds at the start of the game. The potential is definitely there, he has 15 for finishing at such a young age plus decent composure and speed.

Unfortunately his career was not one of the luckiest in my test save, Bayern paid no less than 31 million for him but didn’t give him enough first team football and that obviously didn’t help with his development. He only managed to improve his physical and mental attributes but his finishing dropped and his technique as well. Despite that Bayern still got nearly 15 million for him from Atletico.

I strongly believe that this kid can become a lot better than the future screen shot shows if given first team football, 5.5 million is a small price to pay for a youngster with such potential.

His CA is REMOVED and PA is REMOVED.

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp October 18, 2013

How do you know that, the editor is not yet available as far as I know. Secondly, please don’t post CA and PA in the comments, we will have them under spoiler tags in the posts for a reason.

He’s a beast. I bought him to Tottenham and he has scores now 8 goals in 7 games as poacher. And he has been at first eleven only 4 times. Lamela is also amazing.

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp October 18, 2013

That’s instant impact right there! He should become even better so well done on buying him.

  • comment avatar Alexonian October 23, 2013

He scored 9 goals in 4 games for me at Barcelona after Messi got injured.

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp October 23, 2013

That’s a very impressive tally, even Messi would be envious :)

  • comment avatar Madda November 5, 2013

Just amazing for me at Real Madrid!
He is only 21 years with awezome stats, and he has scored 12 goals in 13 matches.

Whats the best position to play Werner as a lonely striker upfront in a 4-2-3-1 tactic,
with 2 IF wingers( cutting inside all the time) and 1 AP(S) behind him?

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp November 10, 2013

Both scenarios should work but I’d go for the one with 2 wingers. It depends on the players you have though, if you have a good AP then go with that.

      • comment avatar vaggii November 10, 2013

Excuse me maybe u didnt understand my question. The question is in Which position should i train/play Werner in that specific tactic?
        Poacher or AF ?

        • comment avatar vaggii November 10, 2013

The tactic is standard. 4-2-3-1 with 2 IF wingers on AML and AMR sides, and 1 AP behind the striker.

        • comment avatar Johnny Karp November 10, 2013

Excuse me but your question was not very clear. I think either of the two roles should work well enough, you should try both and see which works best.

          • comment avatar vaggii November 10, 2013

thanks! Really appreciate your help.. keep up the good work mate ;)

  • comment avatar Jakob December 4, 2013

Great wonderkid, too bad he didn’t develop in your save… Great work on the list though! I was wondering whether you could add an option to sort the list by when the players were added? That way it would be easier to see which players have been added since I last checked :)

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp December 4, 2013

Unfortunately we can’t add any more columns to the list, it would become too wide. But you can either check the home page to see which profiles were added recently or you can subscribe to the feed via email and get a notification every time we post a new profile.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 4, 2013

Th homepage shows the most recent additions and only one player is added a day so on that page you’ll be able to see the most recent 6 players. There won’t be a feature available for most recently added on the lists I’m afraid.

I really need a “goal machine”, was thinking about buying Timo, but yours adam campbell screenshot really made me think. Wayne strongly recomends Cerri, but i hosnestly don’t know, my mind is getting crazy about this unfinishing question. I would really appreciate your typ :)

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp December 13, 2013

All three players are good, you can’t go wrong with either of them. So I guess I would choose the one who is cheaper.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 13, 2013

It depends completely on the sort of player you want, you have three very different types of strikers there.

  • comment avatar Ilyas December 16, 2013

Hi Johnny, do you reckon you were a bit harsh on Werner’s rating? Considering that he only had 30 appearances in 5 seasons at BvB and Bayern, he still turned out quite well. Not only that, he’s actually scoring for fun despite a drop in finishing. His ability in my save is thankfully better as Stuttgart have not sold him and are playing him consistently and other people have had scary success with the lad.

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp December 16, 2013

I can only give ratings based on the screen shots I have, I don’t think I was harsh. But I have no doubt he cane become better, that’s why I have chosen to publish the profile instead of not publishing it.

  • comment avatar Emil Tonev January 2, 2014

Timo didnt exactly work for me as development yet i strongly recommend signing him. I bought him on my second season for around 30m but later I sold him for 56m when I saw that my other strikers were developing far better (Bruno Gomez and Rayimi). In his second season for my Liverpool side i refused a 72m offer from Bayern for him (i still beleived he would develop). I hope this is useful for you guys.
