FM 2014 Romelu Lukaku career stats

This FM 2014 Player Profile of Romelu Lukaku shows a real beast, one of the best poachers on FM14 and a truly prolific striker. During our test save Lukaku fell short of his potential, the Belgian still develops good attributes but human management would draw out much better progression. His finishing, acceleration and dribbling should be much higher with the right management. That being said Lukaku still has incredible strength, good mental stats and a decent scoring record in our test save.

The asking price of £34 million is a lot, but to buy the best players you have to pay top brass, I think he could be worth it.

Looks good. Sure he can develop better with human management. One thing about Lukaku that has always bothered me in previous games is his tendancy to pick up knocks. Perhaps I have just had bad luck with him.

Any plans to do Raheem Sterling?

He is certainly a great player and as you said will develop much better under human management. Doesn’t seem to be signs of injury problems this year but only time will tell.

As for Sterling, we have a long list to do first but he’s on the to look at pile.

Ah, I remember Lukaku on 2010. What an utter, utter beast he developed into. 20 strength, 20 heading.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 18, 2013

Yeah and he could do very well this year with the right management.

If you scout him sometime between June and August in 2014 when he comes back from Everton you may get lucky and José may have decided he’s not first choice and you can potentially pick him up for somewhere in the £15m-20m region.

The logic is right, haven’t seen if it actually happens in game yet though.

Got him from Bayern for 22m at Man Utd before start of third season to replace Rooney who I shipped for 30m. Only played one game which was the community shield for which he scored a hat trick on his debut. Looking forward to playing him – the scouts have him as an advanced forward/target man not a poacher but I guess he is an all-rounder!

We take all our role information from the future save, not the current one, its fairer to see what he can develop to as opposed to what he is.

This guy is truly tank. An absolute star in my first season as everton! Just a shame I couldn’t keep him :P I was just wondering if you were thinking of doing a profile for Bruno Gomes? He becomes amazing and has great potential in real life too.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 13, 2013

He really can be a beast. Unfortunately Gomes hasn’t improved enough in my save, but we’d like to profile him when the shots are available.

  • comment avatar Kedouche December 29, 2013

He was a beast for me in my everton save. on loan, top goalscorer with 31 goals in 36 games in the league and won the premiership by two points

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 29, 2013

He certainly looks a handful. Signed for Juventus along with an array of talent in my Wigan save, they frustrate the hell out of me in the Champions League.

  • comment avatar Haiku January 21, 2014

Starrted with Everton and signed him permanent for 23M euro at the start of the season. I think it’s a good deal.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 21, 2014

I’d say that is a very good deal, he’s unique due to the many roles he can cover and the physicality he can bring to the poacher role that other just can’t.

Is there a profile for Christian Benteke? A similar player imo who has banged in a lot of goals for my Liverpool side.
