fm 2014 gaston gil romero career stats

This FM 2014 player profile of Gaston Gil Romero shows a very talented central midfielder from Argentina and, most important, one that you can get for a low fee at the start of the game. You can snatch him for just 3 million pounds when starting a new game in Football Manager 2014 and judging by his potential this would be quite a steal. He doesn’t really stand out at the age of 20, you can only notice his determination and stamina.

But in my test save he developed very well under computer management, turning into a solid ball winning midfielder but one that is also good with the ball, making him a good candidate for playmaker roles as well. His steady progress brought him a transfer to Valencia and after just one year in Europe his value went up to a hefty 21.5 million pounds. He’s not Yaya Toure but I guess if the Man City star would cost 3 million he would be just like this lad (a few inches shorter too!). Good value for money, definitely.

I followed him in 3 or 4 different saves and becomes a real beast.Real Madrid always get him.In my arsenal save,it’s second season and he still can’t get work permit, have 1 year left on his contract, and i hope he don’t sign for another south american club.Hope i could sign him for free.Who do you prefer Gaston Gil Romero or Lucas Romero.
Scouted both for like 30 times, and it seems they are similair.Real difference i noticed is that Gil Romero is more natural DM than Lucas Romero, something like arteta.Any thoughts?

We haven’t profiled Lucas Romero yet so I can’t really compare the two at the moment.

I`ve been looking for a BWM with a great physical presence (a type of player like Wanyama), but haven`t really found him. Gaston Gil Romero and Pugliese looks great, but I need a real beast in midfield. Any suggestions? (Imbula could fit, but his tackling is not the best).
I´m also having difficulties finding a cheap, good right wingback. Peruzzi and those players are too expensive. Remmer in Copenhagen could fit the bill but haven`t seen any future screenshots on him.

I`ve found him! Daniel Amartey for Djurgården in Sweeden! 18 years old, a real beast in midfield

I am playing with Feyenoord and had both Lucas Romero an Gil Romero in my team. Lucas Romero was a little better than Gil Romero. I still have Lucas Romero in my team after 3 seasons but Gil Romero transferred to Barcelona for 36.5 million euro’s after the third season. Maybe i can send screenshots of their profiles later today.

Can he get a work permit for England in the beginning? Just wondering

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp November 29, 2013

Unfortunately it’s unlikely he’d get a work permit right away.

      • comment avatar AceOD December 5, 2013

can’t get one in the second season either…

  • comment avatar thijm90 December 5, 2013

He is much better in my save game (human management)

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp December 5, 2013

Most players (if not all) do become better with human management.
