This FM 2013 player profile of Xherdan Shaqiri shows one of the most famous young talents in the game, a player with amazing speed and agility plus brilliant technique. If you are at a top club and you need a great inside forward or winger then Shaqiri can surely be a viable option. However, you will have to prepare some cash as Bayern want 20 million for the lad at the start of the game.

In my test save Shaqiri remained at Bayern and did a pretty good job, value almost doubled in 2019, also managing to improve his speed and technique a bit along with some progress in the mental attributes area. A very good player overall but I think you could find good options at more affordable prices. Then again, I guess you could turn him into something close to a new Messi with proper human management.

Best buy rating: 9.5/10

I decided to be rash and splashed £19 million on him (after selling Luis Suarez) in the 2nd season and he turned out to be a devastating inside forward. Rotating between Coutinho, Shaqiri and Lamela, the 3 of them are just brilliant!

I think you got yourself a great deal at 19 mil, definitely worth it.

I really wanted to get him but they wouldn’t settle for less that around 70 Million. Class player.

70 mil is way too much but worth keeping an eye on the situation, maybe try to unsettle him.

    Hello Readers,

I want to ask all of your opinions. I play with a formation with two IF’s, and I wanted to know what would be your recommendations.

I figured that Shaqiri is undisputed King of the Right side.

Who would you guys stick on the left? Yarmolenko, Stoch, Ince, Greizeman?

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp April 1, 2013

      Griezmann.

      • comment avatar Zlat April 2, 2013

        Thank you!

If you don’t mind me asking, what was your rationale there?

        • comment avatar Johnny Karp April 2, 2013

He always created problems when playing against him, great technique and incredible flair. And the price is not that big considering the quality.

Shaqiri or The Ox for AMR Inside Forward?

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp April 8, 2013

      I’d choose Oxlade-Chamberlain, he’s younger and a bit cheaper.

  • comment avatar Steersman May 1, 2013

I’m looking for IF on right side but I don’t have massive budget tho it would be better if price less than 10m

  • comment avatar Joel May 16, 2013

Got him for 15 million at the end of the 1st season with Arsenal. He’s amazing

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp May 16, 2013

Quite a bargain then, well done!

  • comment avatar Andrew July 17, 2013

Unsettled him in the first transfer market and Bayern ticked him off so I paid only………….7.75m!!!!!!! Although that is the first time in many saves that I have ever gotten him that cheap

      Hey Guys ,
Wanted to know one thing ..
I am getting Shaq for £19m . Planning to put him on right side of attacking mid trio of sterling (AML) James rodriguez (AMC) and shaq himself(amr) . Is he really that gud ?? Please suggest someone else who can slot into AMR that around that price and has future growth too

He is good, definitely, and that line of three should produce some great football.

He’s good, we don’t have a profile because he isn’t available with our chosen test database setup.
