This FM 2013 Player Profile of Stevan Jovetic shows one of the best talents in FM13. Jovetic has it all, technique, mental attributes and even good physical skills. The future screenshots above do all the talking, in 2015 Jovetic scored 24 goals for Chelsea in 26 games and that was with at least ten games to go.

You could claim Jovetic enjoys any number of roles or positions best, that just shows his great versatility. So if you add incredible ability, to great attributes and a proven record better than most I’ve seen then he is well worth the £19 million asking price.

Best buy rating: 9.5/10

easily unsettled at fiorentina, can get him for around 15 million

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

Yeah depending on when you bid he can be bought for less, but Chelsea tend to bid this amount early on so you have to match it in most games.

  • comment avatar visitor January 18, 2013

Can I like pay at first about 2 millions and 17 millions in 48 months
Do they gonna accept that offer

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

I don’t know, maybe but you would have to bid and find out.

  • comment avatar 123. January 18, 2013

What is the best roles and position he should be?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

I think poacher but he could do a multitude of roles, it depends on your tactic…if in doubt check his training or scout report.

    • comment avatar Ltrain January 28, 2013

He plays best as an AF accompanied with a really quick poacher with high off the ball ratings, the poacher moves the defenders around and Jovetic seizes the holes in the defence, I have him down playing with John Guidetti and the pair are lethal.

  • comment avatar hlf January 18, 2013

For someone with such excellent creative attributes, he didn’t get a lot of assists! That goalscoring record is pretty phenomenal though

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

Yeah but he wasn’t played to get assists, he will have been used as the focal point of attacks, hence the goals tally.

  • comment avatar joop January 18, 2013

quality player, loved playing him with the games prior to FM13, and he has gotten even better in this one :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

Yep, SI rate him very highly this year.

  • comment avatar nathan January 18, 2013

hei, could you do pablo sarabia and ezequiel munoz? cheers!

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

We will when the screenshots are available but as yet we don’t have profiles doing them justice.

    • comment avatar Ltrain January 28, 2013

Pablo Sarabia starts off slow and finds it dificult to get settle in, it took him 3 seasons before he became unplayable. his skill and technique is fantastic and has made most goals down the left flank. Can score the odd goal but if you play him to take shots he will waste vital opportunities then score when you dont really need him to.

  • comment avatar Cameron Moulton January 18, 2013

I’m in my 5th season with qpr and we are entering the champions league and I realised that we have guile in are midfield with maher and will Hughes rotating but there is no drive like how yaya toure does for city any recommendations I was thinking Andre ayew

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

Yeah I think Ayew would be perfect for that sort of role, there are few players with driving force and technique so Ayew should be top of the list.

  • comment avatar :d January 19, 2013

Excellent stats for a complete forward. Well rounded. Can bang goals in and set some up with his great ancticipation, Creativity, and decisions as well as his passing and crossing.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

Yeah he can be used in a few roles, whether you want a goalscorer or a creative force to assist.

  • comment avatar ian January 19, 2013

Hello Daren, I am using your fluid tactic with Napoli. I want an AML inside forward to give Insigne some competition. Ive been offered Lamela and Jovetic for 15 million each. I can’t afford both though. Who do you reckon is best out of the two ? Thanks mate

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

In terms of dribbling and beating his man Lamela is great but Jovetic may finish more chance so I’d maybe sway towards Jovetic.

  • comment avatar Dan Scutt January 19, 2013

I would play Jovetic the same way I play neymar as an aml inside forward nd switching positions with my striker through out the game. Neymar finished my 7th season with 37 goals in 43 games. I reckon Jovetic could match that as I think they are the same type of player.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

He is a real goal machine and the role seems about right.

  • comment avatar Cameron Moulton January 19, 2013

Thanks Darren but Andre Ayew isn’t interested so have you got any ideas on that driving force midfielder

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

Not really sure on a driving force, there’s a lot of great MC’s that could do the role but not in the same fashion as Yaya, maybe try searcing for similar attributes to Ayew in your filter.

    • comment avatar Ltrain January 28, 2013

Lars Bender, Emre Can, Ross Barkley,

  • comment avatar Cameron Moulton January 19, 2013

    Thanks Darren ill try that

  • comment avatar Rohan January 19, 2013

    Hi Darren,
A Great Talent Jovetic, in RL as well as in the Game. First Season wid Utd, Who’s better Jovetic or Rodrigo? Both available for 14m upfront 2m after 50 league apps? Have sold Nani 30m to spurs, Young to Ars 27m and Welbeck to Chelsea 23m, Got Ben Arfa 13m + 2m after 50apps, So now want an AML + STK…….Who’s ur recommendation

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 19, 2013

Jovetic would be best IMO. And I’d recommend Fierro upfront as a prospect.

  • comment avatar nathan January 20, 2013

darren, i need an attacking wbr. beside corchia, who do you suggest? thx

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 20, 2013

Not overally sure as I never use that role but the likes of Rafael from United might be worth a look and Vrsaljko certainly has the physical attributes.

      • comment avatar nathan January 20, 2013

rafael dont want to move from united, too bad.. or maybe if i change the role to support, can you suggest another player?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith January 20, 2013

Like I said I don’t use WBR so don’t search for players in that position.

          • comment avatar nathan January 20, 2013

            ok then, thx a lot!

    • comment avatar Johnny Karp January 21, 2013

You can also try Wallace, a young Brazilian, or Martin Montoya from Barcelona.

  • comment avatar kostas January 25, 2013

    injury pronennes 16-18/20
half of season will be injured, i tried him with 2 clubs. 20-30m euro

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 25, 2013

Jovetic actually has 15 for injury proneness and while that is a little high he WON’T categorically be injured for half a season, you were unlucky, I have never seen him injured nor heard lots of complaints.

  • comment avatar Markeast February 10, 2013

Hi Darren which striker do you think will do well in the advanced forward role?I am using Johnny’s 4-5-1 tactic.

I hope you are not annoyed by me asking these questions :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 10, 2013

I don’t use an advanced forward so couldn’t comment from experience. Just find the key attributes for the role and then do a filtered search with those attributes set to what you think is required.

  • comment avatar Brucey February 17, 2013

Problem is he’s really unavailable unless you are one of the world’s elite because he always goes to Chelsea.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 17, 2013

But that’s the same with all the best players, if you make the right offer he’ll move, you can’t buy the best players cheap during the first season.

  • comment avatar Mouldy7890 February 26, 2013

I have signed Jovetic for Spurs, planning on playing him IF from the left and Bale from the right. He was injured for 3-4 weeks in pre-season then came back into training and injured again.

I have a formation with AF as well so will try him there in Europa League as well and report back.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith February 26, 2013

OK hope he does the business.

  • comment avatar AzzA GunneR May 4, 2013

This guy frustrates me to no end. i’m sure it’s my fault but i can’t work out why. i’ve signed him in quite a few games and he never performs, i dropped him to the reserves after 3/4 of a season of very lack lustre performances and told him he was listed. played 1 game for the reserves and scores a hatrick. i promote him he scores 3 hatricks in a row in the prem then goes off the boil again. scratching my head lol

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 4, 2013

That is strange, could well be that you are playing him in the wrong role or that the mixture of his role and roles around him just doesn’t suit the player.

  • comment avatar SamC May 8, 2013

Play him as AF on his own with IFs – trust me, he’s immense. Signed him for West Ham in third season (I think) and took him a while to settle, but after that he went completely mental, scoring well over goal a game. Not got stats in front of me, but from memory he scored about 40 in one Prem season alone.

Set him to come deep and run with ball often, that way he just gets it, spins, hurtles about 30 yards and rifles it in. Can remember a few occasions where he picked the ball up on half-way line and you’re already thinking, ‘goal’.

He does get injured occasionally though, just have to manage him – stats are already high so doesn’t necessarily need intense training level.

    Buy and enjoy.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 8, 2013

He is certainly well worth the asking price, I guess the main concern would be injuries.

  • comment avatar Rafa Tuga August 15, 2013

he is best young player in the world

  • comment avatar Cesar October 18, 2013

bought him for 20 mill and only scores 6 goals in the season behind Defoe (11) and Soldado (9). New season began, 6 matches later, 0 goals. Bad singing, Zaha (20 years old) already have 5 and playing has his substitue.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 18, 2013

This is a profile for FM13 not the new game. Not sure if you are referring to him in FM13 or 14?

  • comment avatar Cesar October 18, 2013

Yeah, I refer to the FM 2013. Maybe he has a point to prove, but that much money he better make assist or goals. Can you please profile Andy Polo from Peru, its said he has really good potential. Thanks.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 18, 2013

Well he was ridiculously good in my save so maybe the positioning or tactic doesn’t suit him. Afraid we are not profiling for FM13 now as the new game is out.
