Moritz Leitner career history until 2017

This FM 2013 player profile of Moritz Leitner shows incredible development. Due to flexible PA Leitner can vary in progression from save to save, but he can always reach a very high level if managed properly. In the screenshots above you can see the playmakers great ability, hitting 20 for technique and first touch about sums this lad up.

Leitner is one of few wonderkids that can create true magic with the ball at his feet. Why he received such abysmal ratings in the future save above I couldn’t say, the CPU was manager but I think his attributes tell the true tale. A must buy for £14 million.

Screenshots courtesy of Bubba, thanks.

Best buy rating: 9/10

That is amazing development. Imagine having him and Gotze in the same midfield at Dortmund. Class

Yeah the Dortmund side looks very promising indeed.

    YAY My screenshot! :D
Great profile, the carreerstats really show why the CPU suck…

Thanks for the screenshots Bubba, he’d get 10/10 if not for those career stats, but human management would certainly see those a lot better.

The Only Negative Is The Flexible PA . There Are Too Many -9 In This Year Edition Of Football Manager

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 8, 2012

Got to be honest, I don’t think there’s too many with minus 9, I think that reflects real life as there are a lot of very talented kids out there that may or may not make it.

      • comment avatar Alexander Tommos December 8, 2012

What does the -8/-9 PA even mean ? I don’t remember and haven’t used editor for the last couple of years.

        • comment avatar Darren Smith December 8, 2012

It just means the player will be given a random PA, the higher the number ie -10 being the highest, but there PA will vary from save to save.

okay, so that might be the reason why Maher didn’t get anywhere as good as your future screen shot

          • comment avatar Darren Smith December 8, 2012

Could be, but when a player has minus 9 they usually always make a very high standard, so it could also be poor CPU management.

  • comment avatar rui December 8, 2012

does he play well in aml ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 8, 2012

I haven’t tried him there so I don’t know. There’s no reason why he wouldn’t but you’d have to test him in that position.

great talent. mate, can you post about stephane el shaarawy?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 9, 2012

He will get a profile at some point yes.

  • comment avatar Marco December 9, 2012

Leitner looks like quality and since those screens show him under CPU management, there seems to be space for even more.

Are there any plans on having a closer look at Dnipro’s Konoplyanka who is one of the biggest Ukrainian talents, if not the biggest talent?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 9, 2012

To be honest I don’t rate Konoplyanka, he hasn’t do much in any of my saves.

      • comment avatar Marco December 9, 2012

Pretty disappointing to hear as he is as talented as Yarmolenko.

Is that because SI didn’t rate him appropriately since he does not play for a club who appears on the European stage on a regular basis or does he simply not develop under CPU management while playing for a Ukrainian club?

        • comment avatar Darren Smith December 9, 2012

I think its a mix of both TBH but he definitely won’t hit Yarmolenko’s level in game even with human management.

  • comment avatar Heresy December 10, 2012

This kid is amazing! He can play practically any support/attacing role in the middle and also cover for any injuries on the wings. Reminds me a little of Oxlade – Chamberlain. Is possibly even better, providing that the development goes according to plan.

However, if he plays for any top flight club, he may not get the game play he deserves. He’s quite good at 19 but i don’t think he’d cut it in the premiership top clubs. Too much competition and too much pressure for results… but i’m not a development expert, tend to struggle with low CA + medicore stats players.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith December 10, 2012

I think any top flight club could afford him game time in Europe and the domestic cup competitions which would be a enough for the first season, by the second he should have improved enough to warrant a little more…then you just build it up.

  • comment avatar Heresy December 10, 2012

It really depends on your cup opponents.. Sometimes you get L1/Chapionship sides all the way to the final, but sometimes (for me it happens much more often than sometimes), you draw the big teams at every stage of the competition. You can still send the youngsters out but more often than not, when you do that, you’re out. So no more game time there. Anyway, it’s tricky for me. The likes of Fierro and Chamberlain do get game time from me because their key attributes look decent to begin with, even if their CA is quite low. But the likes of Jeoy Valencia or Demirci (in Fm12) struggle for first team football because of their low key attributes. Leitner falls, for me, in the same category. Then again, it’s just theory. Can’t wait to try playing him and proving myself wrong.

Darren what do you think about Lucas piazon from Chelsea? I think he deserves a profile.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith January 18, 2013

I’m not a fan TBH, never really done much in my saves.
