Destro’s career history until 2019

This FM 2013 player profile show a real poacher. His top attributes are perfect for a striker: Finishing, composure, dribbling, off the ball, anticipation are all brillaint. His career stats aren’t great but played in the right role and given the right service he is bound to score goals, his attributes are too good for him not to score goals. He may not be available to buy immediately but he can often be signed for free at the end of the first season, and if he does extend his contract with Genoa the screenshot above shows he can be brought cheaply. A very good striker who is definately worth buying.

Best buy rating: 9/10

Thanks mate, he is a great striker, a bit more pace and he would be perfect

I got him for free for my liverpool and been a good back up for my Llorente (also free) in fact tends to score every game i put him in, no doubt a good buy.

I’ve also signed him for free, just about to join. I missed out on Llorente unfortunately

Didn’t get him for cheap, got him for about £22 million for Spurs, but at 22 he’s already giving Adebayor a challenge for starting XI place – scored 5 goals in 3, including a hattrick against Manchester City in the European Super Cup.

signed him second season for fulham. Got 21 goals first season then 54 in 53 games the following season. Partners up perfectly with Llorente or as a lone poacher

Bought him for my Liverpool team in a exchange deal with Coates, as Coates was unhappy about me rejecting him permission to talk to Juventus. Since I have signed him, he has scored 8 goals in 8 league games. He is keeping Ba and Borini (last season top league scorer with 26) Very good buy, cheaper alternative too Fierro

8 goals in 5 games for my Newcastle team, keeping Cisse out of the side – problem is he does get injured and it does say on his report that he is injury prone…

Managed to get him for 4 million from AC milan in 2015

Got him free on two occassions, both on my Notigham Forest and Hannover games. You can usually sign him for free; if you keep an eye on the market, by the end of the 2013-2014 season if I’m not mistaken.
The guy is a goal machine, will score 20-25 goal overall on a regular season.
The only minus is that he’s quite injury prone and he often seems he can’t stand in-squad competion. In other words, keep him in your starting eleven in a disciplined squad and he’ll pay off.

Anyway the reason I’m writing is that Destro is just the first in a set of Italian players you can easily get for free or with just a bargain later on the game.

    To name my signings
El Shaarawy AMR,ST (free on 2016)
De Sciglio DR DWR (free on 2016)
Immobile ST (free on 2014 or 2015)
Bertolacci MC MR AMC AMR (1-1,5 m on 2014)

for my Forest save, he has been a magician for me, scoring goals frm improbable situations, has the injury problems often, but he was named in the World Team of the year in 2016 in my save….i might have a btr screenshot of him…

Which role do you think Destro is best at?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith June 20, 2013

According to scouts deep lying forwards but I would say poacher.

      • comment avatar Lukas Dvorak July 27, 2013

I use him as a complete forward, support duty. He is great at cover a ball among pressing defenders and prepare final passes as well as scoring by himself. He really see the game and is key player of my offense. He is also the hero of Italian European championship winners squad in my save!

        • comment avatar Darren Smith July 27, 2013

He has the ability to be really special that’s for sure.

  • comment avatar Konrad Exposito July 25, 2013

Who should I have as my poacher in front of Bernard Maher Lamela? Destro, Rodrigo or Lacazette if you say Destro I could play the other two on the wing

Its your choice you’ll know your team, what you want to achieve form the player and have a budget etc, all of them are good players.
