Would he be good enough for a big team like Chelsea in your opinion?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 28, 2012

He would do a job for any team, but there are better options available, they’re just more expensive.

Hey Darren, I was wondering what your thoughts were on Mattia Destro and David Ospina. I managed to pick them up on a free during the January transfer window with benfica. Should I play Destro over rodrigo? Or incorporate a new tactic with two strikers? Thanks

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 29, 2012

I would rotate them both, use Rodrigo for tougher opponents. If you can’t use Rodrigo.

Destro is a consistent player but he has problems with injuries, so in any team it would be better rotating him to protect from injuries, i dont agree to use rodrigo to tougher opponents, his main weakness is important matches (according to my scout) and his teamwork and work rate is fairly low with better deffenders this can be a problem. So i think it would be better to use destro to tougher opponents. I didn’t use rodrigo so i cant be accurate on him but i used destro and i must say i was impressed with his performance.

Well I have used Rodrigo and he scored in the Champions League final, so can’t really get much tougher than that.

          • comment avatar BWR November 30, 2012

Okay thank you both, this is my current line-up

Seems like a nice bit of business, especially for an up and coming team (Championship/Bottom half of the table).

Looking at his stats I feel like he’d be almost wasted as a DC, looks like the perfect defensive MC, someone to challenge Fellaini.

Certainly is an excellent signing, some have even used him with top four clubs from the off. I guess his position will depend on the players you already have though.
