Alan Dzagoev career history until 2019

This FM 2013 player profile of Alan Dzagoev shows the best Football Manager 2013 free transfer. The young Russian can be signed for free and will join your club in January, but if you can’t wait that long he’s usually on the transfer list for £2.5 million. But act fast as CSKA tend to offer him a new deal quick and if you’re too slow the opportunity will disappear. As for this players ability, he can pass, dribble, shoot from range and has a brilliant brain for the game. Dzagoev has improved in my future screenshot but not to his full potential as he missed a lot of first team football. Just look at his career history, had the Russian been played properly then he’d be immense in my save, he’s already brilliant!

Best buy rating: 9.5/10

In 9 years he played 52 games. Why is that?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 28, 2012

I have no idea, just prefer to focus on the fact he’d develop way better under proper management. I haven’t seen him injured badly or anything…just bad look?

  • comment avatar Paine October 29, 2012

It seems that Dzagoev was really poorly managed by the AI through the years, not a good sign.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 29, 2012

Surely it is a good sign that he was poorly managed and developed his attributes reasonably well? imagine how good he will be with the right management. Or do you mean it’s a bad sign for the new AI in game?

When trying to sign him, what are his wage demands like?

    • comment avatar Will Henderson October 29, 2012

Scratch that, just seen where it says in the report

Maby I should read all comments next time…

    • comment avatar Bayern Munchen October 30, 2012

Dzagoev want somewhere between 425-570, depending on bonuses and other things like that. That’s what I signed him for ;)

  • comment avatar darock October 30, 2012

Bad research on this one from SI, he actually signed new contract immediately after the Euros. Anyway a very good player, also check his value in real :)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith October 30, 2012

Actually that website you mentioned guesses a lot of details and that transfer value is one of them. No other site referenced to his contract been renewed so I wouldn’t jump to conclusions without solid proof, I haven’t found any official news of a new contract.

Not saying you’re wrong, just that the reference you used doesn’t provide factual evidence.

      • comment avatar darock October 31, 2012

I use that site quite often and find it accurate and he is a russia’s “hot” star at the moment, it will be quate inllogical to let him for free . But i see your point, there is no much info about russian players out there. I just run quick google and,
the mentioned values are pretty close and they can’t be that higher, if his contract is running out. But, as you say, no official info :)
Can you tell me, which sites you are using to check player contracts? Thanks!

        • comment avatar Darren Smith October 31, 2012

But you’re assuming as are that site…SI will have more contacts than them and do more research.

And again the values thing is not factual, assume the value, no one told them…I see what you are trying to say but I don’t really know why you’d accuse a company of not researching when the websites you use as reference do even less research.

As for our details it all comes from the game, because that is what this site is about, not real life.

Do you think he could be effective as a central midfielder? Sigurdsson did very well for me in Fm12, I used him as an advanced playmaker on support. Dzagoev looks like he could play a similar role, but maybe I should change “support” to “attack”, to take advantage of his dribbling skills. His passing and creativity look good. What do you think?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 2, 2012

I think you have it spot on. I use him as AP attack duty. He still needs to settle but is doing doing ok.

  • comment avatar Ben Turner November 5, 2012

He, along with Alex, would make a great free double attacking midfielder duo.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 5, 2012

Definitely, there are some good free players available this year.

  • comment avatar Bjørk Lange November 7, 2012

Best buy in FM13 so far. He can become better than this future screenshot, and he is free! Wage demands not that high also. He agreed to sign for my Ajax team for 26k a week i think, that is even less than he got in CSKA. I also use him as advanced playmaker on attack, but sometimes as support when facing big teams in the champions league.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 7, 2012

He is a no brainer when available for free.

  • comment avatar Ryan November 11, 2012

I got him on my liverpool save played 2 games got injured for 6 weeks come back played 3 games got injured for 3 weeks so i haven’t been able to see what he can do yet

  • comment avatar halvug November 21, 2012

What do you think of Fede Vico and Óliver from Cordoba and Atletico Madrid?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 21, 2012

Both promising youngsters but don’t often hit their potential in my saves, I think they require a lot of attention.

  • comment avatar Samson Brough November 29, 2012

Brilliant profile. Sadly the new update means that you can’t sign him on a free (New contract) and he’s new asking price is around 32 million. bummer

    • comment avatar Darren Smith November 29, 2012

Unfortunately you’re right, such a shame.
