Serge Aurier’s career history until 2016

This FM 2012 player profile of Serge Aurier shows a right back that can really develop. He starts with attributes capable of warranting a rotational position in most top flight teams. But just look at his development above aged 23, I’d expect all those mental attributes to go up further within a few more years and he could even be more prudent going forward. £14 million is a lot considering Vrsaljko is available for £1 million, but this guy is certainly still a great buy for his pure physicality alone.

Best buy rating: 8/10

I wondering if it has problems using right foot on left wing on the field

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 29, 2012

I haven’t signed him to test that but I’m sure while he is most comfortable on the right he can still do a job on the left also…but I always recommend having fulls backs on the same side as their preferred foot.

A nice well rounded player. But for right fullback/wingback roles, i prefer Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille. He is one of my favorite player. I use Athletic Bilbao and need a very good rightback to rotate with my key player Andoni Iraola. Then my scout found this lad. His long throws is very dangerous and he have all attributes to make a good rightback. Oh, and Cagigao of Arsenal rate him 3,5 from 5. His asking price is just £10s million consider his potential. But all that is from old patch 12.1. I don’t know if in new patch (12.2) his stats and asking price is like in 12.1. Looking forward to try new patch…

In the new patch he is like shown above, this is the updated version as shown.

Azpilicueta certainly is one of the best rightbacks available. I get 5-10 goals a season from his throws into the penalty area. I found 2 things that bother me about him through. Firstly, he gets many red cards (this is due to the fact that his decisions never rise to a top level). Secondly, he is reluctant to cross the ball even with decent crossing attribute. He just passes it back to the winger or to the playmaker.

On Aurier, he really does look good. He gets a fair amount of assists for a fullback, and a one playing for Lens (I suspect he would have made more if he had better players around him to finish off the chances)

Azpilicueta is certainly one of the best right backs around but Aurier is a good affordable option.

I want to ask if you can advise me a lb/lwb
i use chavez at parma ,but his stamina fall since the first half at 65% ,i need 1 more ,cus is the unique player for left back defender that i have in team.

Alex Sandro or Robinson of Liverpool.

I would also recommend Fabio from Man Utd. His stamina isn’t any good but he consistently improves there if individually coached in that aspect. His price falls drastically after season 2. I got him for 2.6M Euro after season 3 and he’s been great for me.

Fabio is pretty good and while his price tag comes down I haven’t really got a good enough future profile considering his starting price.

        • comment avatar Heresy March 31, 2012

I didn’t mean it as a recommendation for the site, as I’eve read somewhere that you won’t be doing a profile on the twins as their asking price in season 1 is too high.

I was just recommending him to Rodrigo Rodrigues Dos Santos Junior, as he was asking for advice and he seems to be far enough into the game to be able to get Fabio without breaking the bank.

I understand, when I reply to comments its from an admin area not the posts themselves so sometimes I don’t see where the comment is positioned, otherwise I’d have seen that, apologies.

alex sandro i played at city and at hoffenheim (but there after 4 seasons) at parma i am just in 2nd season and those 2 aren’t interested to sign with parma f.c. even if i had a good 1st season

    • comment avatar Darren Smith March 30, 2012

This is why I rarely make recommendations to people more than a year into the game, because so many things have changed and you’d be better looking through the list of players available on this site and checking each one within your save.

is luca digne a good player ?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 4, 2012

He is but I haven’t found a future profile that does him justice yet and that is why he’s not been profiled.

If Wenger ever needs a replacement for Sagna, then here he is. Jenkinson gives me mixed feelings.

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 5, 2012

Yeah I’d prefer Aurier along with a few others over Jenkinson to be honest.

      • comment avatar N.Loureiro April 6, 2012

The thing with Jenkinson is that he looks like a Centre-back. He has the height and he doesn’t seem that fast to be a Full-Back in the mould of Sagna and Laurent – let’s face it, tough acts to follow – and thus I could see him being moved to the centre to provide cover for Vermaelen, Koscielny and Mertesacker – it’s about time Wenger got rid of Djorou and Squilacci. Puyol was an above-average Full-back at the start of his career and he is know the best centre-back in the world. Jenkinson does have the talent, otherwise Wenger – a brilliant scout in his own right – wouldn’t have signed him.
