Raheem Sterling’s career history until 2019

Sterling can play on either wing and has tremendous potential, he improves to be one of the best FM 2012 wingers. £12.75 million may seem like a lot for a 16 year old, but its a worthwhile investment when you see his future profile above. Sterling has great pace, flair, crossing ability and knows how to beat his man. I would strongly recommend him for anyone, if you’re looking for a wonderkid to terrorize down the flanks Sterling is your man. He’s also easy to develop, I used him off the bench as a super sub in my Malaga save and he came up with many match winning goals making it easy to offer rotational Football.

Best buy rating: 8/10

darren streling is he on the top of his delevopment or could he better ?

He is almost at his best there but still has room to grow. I signed him with Malaga and he scored like 10 goals a season and set up a fair few too. Excellent from the bench, always seemed to pop up at important moments.

I would use the below team for important more difficult matches (especially in the league) then rotate the other players in for Champions League and cup matches unless the opponents are tough then stick with the below squad. That way your results should be OK but everyone can develop.

      Vrsaljko Otamendi Papadopoulos Robinson

      Song

      Hamsik Marchisio

      Hazard Wilshere

      Ayew

I also recommend switching Wilshere and Hazard around, they should perform better on the other wing.

ok ty i will do that . because my team is very young but they have quality and i want to take their best. and keep an eye on vadillo. i signeg him on second season for 850m and he made the last 4 games in the premier league and he gave me some good ideas, and besides that in begining of this season barcelona was intrested on him but i didn´t sell him.

I believe that the future screenshot you posted here is slightly under-developed. My sterling is 19 at the moment and I think if he keeps his progress up he will reach the stats you posted well before his 22. unless of course he slows down his rapid development. this kid is one of the best to train in my opinion because he responds so well. i had him learn from maxi and suarez and i think it helped a lot. will share my screenshots when he reaches 22.

and btw, i agree, he is brilliant off the bench. Has popped up from the bench to notch a few important goals and assists for me.

The screenshot above is with the CPU’s management so I’d expect a human manager to get better results to be honest. I’d be interested to see a profile if he excels beyond the above.

i forgot to mentioned this, he got called up for the 2014 world cup and was named best young player there so i think this certainly helped his development!

hey darren, when should i start introducing sterling into the first team? (im in Feb 2012 atm)

    • comment avatar Darren Smith April 16, 2012

I had him with Malaga during the second season I think and gave him sub appearances every other game, he scored often from the bench and eventually became number one winger after around four seasons I think.

Hello Darren, what side and position do you think he would be his best at?

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 2, 2012

I don’t know, you should try him on both and it depends on your tactic also.

sterling is a great great winger absolutely one of the best to also get the best out of him i think you need to teach him hugs lines with his low bravery stat he tends to cut inside when a player is in front of him instead of knocking the ball past them or dribbling past them while i love him i rather him crossing than passing because of his good eye for far post header i cant tell how much goals were scored by hazard or yaisen on the far post after he did his sweet pinpoint crosses on fast breaks, get a good clinical pacey inside forward on the opposite wing and have him crossing the ball from wide positions and watch your team become a dominate threat from counter attacks

    • comment avatar Darren Smith May 16, 2012

He is a deadly player when used that way, his crossing and quickness are exceptional so certainly need to be taken advantage of.

  • comment avatar darsnider May 17, 2012

for best out of him have someone like hazard neymar , gotze or yaisen as an inside forward cutting inside on your left wing and play him on the right wing as a winger, crossing from deep and mixing his crosses .

My Sterling is developing fantastically, I even got his dribbling up to 20!! Here’s a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/cEllW.jpg. I swear that I did not use any editor programmes. I’m sure I can also get his crossing up to 17 or 18, same with his first touch. Thanks for alerting me to this player’s potential, I would never have given him the attention and nurturing he deserved without it.

He is developing very nicely indeed, I had similar success though due to having Hazard and Weiss at Malaga I used him more in Europe and as a super sub…played incredible but didn’t progress as quickly as in your game, though he certainly would have with more games early on.
